So, let me get this strait; your disappointed that there will not be any incestuous, teenage, alien rape? This is a thing that you not only expected to happen in the comic, but where also actively looking forward to?

Am I the only one that can't get enough of the a cappella "I'm a Member of the Midnight Crew"? :shobon: Favorite album is either coloUrs and mayhem B (just so many good tracks on that one) or Squiddles!, because who doesn't love listening to children's songs about adorable sea creatures becoming unspeakable horrorterrors? :downs:

I remember liking Mutiny, which was removed from this page and replaced with Unbreakable Union, and I eagerly anticipate the availability of Anbroids V1.0. Sunslammer and Moonsetter have to be up there, along with Showtime, Courser, Even In Death, Pipeorgankind, Gaia Queen, Skaian Skirmish, and, of course, Horschestra (STRONG Version).

Lot of talent goes into this comic, that's for sure.

My favorite album is still The Felt, quality-wise of course it's great but more than anything else for me it's that it has a kind of unique style that none of the other albums really replicate. Like most Homestuck songs have a sort of feel/style to them that, lack for a better word, feels fairly consistent across the board, and I think The Felt bucked that trend a bit. Universe B is probably my second favorite for some arbitrary reason.

However, Umbral Ultimatum though is the best song. It is known.

Did I say rape? drat, put words in a guy's mouth why don't you.

Anyway, volume 5 was my favorite album, probably because of all the remixes of the more iconic songs. I still cry when I listen to any of the Clockworks.

Agreed. It works really well with Jade: Enter, and it pretty much captures how intense everything happening is.

It also somehow captures that "Welp gently caress" feeling pretty well.

Sburban Jungle is great and makes for an awesome theme. Especially when in shows up in the end of Descend.

That was also pretty much the moment the comic went from good to incredible.

Speaking of Homestuck music, one of the music team members said there would be more album releases over this summer (that is to say, more than one) so it sounds like they're going back to the one album a month thing. This could be wrong though, and with how much earlier to ColoUrs and Mayhem albums were supposed to come out it could also take longer than expected.

My favourite album is definitely Strife, it may have been small but the quality of each track is far and away above everything released since.

And yeah Sburban Jungle is still awesome.

I'd guess that they're planning to release some solo albums or smaller themed albums - since those are shorter it would make sense to pack a few of those together on a shorter release schedule. I think Jit's solo album (which has been in the works for a while) is close to done, and there may be some others coming up soon.

Re: music chat, my favorite album is still Volume 7. There were a bunch of songs on it that really blew me away (Black Rose / Green Sun, At the Price of Oblivion, Even in Death, Lifdoff, Earthsea Borealis, Savior of the Dreaming Dead), and most of the other songs were good too. But I can't come anywhere close to pinning down a single favorite individual Homestuck song. My favorite from the new album is definitely Pumpkin Party in Sea Hitler's Water Apocalypse, though - best song, best title, themed for the best alpha kid, cutest track art :3:.

Beatdown -> Beatdown Round 2 will forever be my favorites. There are a couple dozen other songs I won't take off my mp3 player for decades, but these two are permanently etched. These songs marked the point where MSPA was so good, I was willing to stay up for an hour past 3am just watching a flash over and over (Round 2 was the cause of that.) These marked the spot where I would never stop reading MSPA. The spot where I became hooked.

472. Are you missing the replacement C&M tracks, perhaps?

I definitely agree that Vol. 4 has a high concentration of great tracks, with or without Bolin. Three in the Morning (Casino Remix) in particular is underrated in my opinion.

As much as everyone likes to joke about Doctor remixes/arrangements, Green Ghost was probably my favorite from the C&M albums, followed by Dapper Dueling and Nine Lives One Love.

And pretty much anything by Jit, Plazmataz, or Beatfox is gold.

Play the Wind is pretty much the best thing (except that bit with the high pitched synths near the end, uggh).

I have 565 Homestuck songs, if you count the semiofficial fan albums. Medium (8), AlterniaBound (30), coloUrs and mayhem: Universe A (32), coloUrs and mayhem: Universe B (32), The Felt (17), Homestuck Vol. 1 (11), Vol. 2 (7), Vol. 3 (36), Vol. 4 (10), Vol. 5 (72), Vol. 6 (21), Vol. 7 (20), Vol. 8 (41), Vol. 9 (51), Midnight Crew: Drawing Dead (18), Strife! (7), The Wanderers (16), Land of Fans and Music (53), Homestuck for the Holidays (22), Jailbreak Vol. 1 (31), Alternia (18), Sburb (12). I don't have Songs of Skaia (3) because I keep forgetting to buy it, I don't have Mobius Trip and Hadron Kaleido (9) because I didn't really like the singing, and I don't have Squiddles! (22) because it's terrifying.

I also have Homestuck as king of my music on last.fm. 6 of my top 18 bands are Homestuck.

Ominous updates. UU broke the rules in her chess game (by allowing her opponent to cheat) and then she got flustered and made a lot of dumb mistakes. Now she's planning on breaking the rules in real life to get an edge on uu, and I'm worried it's going to bite her again.

Not to mention, given that three of the four B2 kids seem to be in danger at the moment, I'm a little worried that something is about to happen to Roxy instead. :ohdear:
