Of course, I said some of the same stuff/similar sentiments after the photos of him in handcuffs being walked to jail, knowing he'd spend the rest of his life behind bars. But there are a few notable differences i think.

I thought Grove Rat was banned for constantly making GBS threads up the Conference Apocalypse threads (more so than the A&M crowd). Huh, I feel like I am going to ignore the last couple posts and pretend that is still true.

You have no right, no right to tell jacko to leave and stop gloating, because that's all you do. I have not heard you (pumpsie), say a single positive thing about anything in weeks. You are single-handedly making me want to quit this site. SHUT. UP. Stop posting if everything you post is going to be about how this player sucks or how the Sox are sure to lose even when they're winning. I have absolutely zero reason to live outside of watching the Red Sox every day and trying to ignore the fact that my life sucks. I am a week away from living in a loving homeless shelter and the one place I can come to ignore the real world is becoming as bad as my life, and it's all thanks to you. Either quit proclaiming how right you are about everything being terrible every time the opposing team scores a run or get the gently caress out of here. I'm sick of you and everyone like you and I swear to you if you keep turning this place into your own little doomsday cult website the last thing I will do before I finally kill myself is ban you and delete every post you have ever made.

From the DC sports blog comments section quote:while we anticipate the upcoming football season, several of my colleagues and I remain dismayed at the number of Black high profile athletes and entertainers who have chosen non-Black women to date and marry. It would present a fascinating image and dynamic if men like Robert Griffin were seen with Black women as their mates and spouses. This would be a powerful, symbolic image, especially in the DMV, where so many Black people are fans of Washington's football team. He also said he was a doctor, but it turns out he was a chiropractor. Homosexuality didn't come up, but I could only imagine if it did. That's about as close to a Caste football type that I have ever come. It was surprising too, because before all that poo poo even came out, we had a pretty good conversation about football and seemed to not be a complete moron.

I just remembered this one. During the '09 season, I was leaving work one day to go to lunch and I had my Seahawks hoodie on. Guy walks past me, says something about the last game (seeing as we went 5-11, it was probably a loss), then says "I want to kill Jim Mora". Completely deadpan, no hint of sarcasm or joking at all. Could not walk away fast enough.

Black people sometimes do get upset at black men not marrying black women. Which would be straight up white supremacist if it were white people, but it isn't. If you don't get the differences (not that anyone so far has really expressed that) then oh well

It isn't even really a critique of RGIII and more of an observation.

Being black is about more than free govt handouts and thuggishness i guess Three times in college, then they take your black card. Are people really reading that as being anti-interracial marriage? I see it more as someone opining about a complex issue, like how high profile members of the black community disproportionately dating/marrying white women sets them up as status symbols and devalues black women. The poster is dismayed at the overall effect these types of marriages have, not at the marriages themselves or RGIII's in particular, if that makes any sense? I love this thread for the abhorrent opinions, not so much the opinions I disagree with but ultimately could see how someone arrived at them.
