"Finally figures it out" being some how bumbling his way to the other side of the door and trying to open it from the other side before the game just says gently caress it and lets him know he doesn't need to keep trying anymore.

This sounds like something you'd find in a terrible (or terribly great) old-school text adventure.

Try as you might, you can't open the door no matter how hard you push.

I assumed that the kids would still be whom the game is tailored for. The robots are merely tools or proxies for the kid's entry. I'm not sure the game cares if the player is there when the home transports.

They're more autonomous than the bunny, but they are still robots Dirk programmed, and so they know what to do. They got lucky escaping Red Miles, though. The planet is still associated with the player, though, but I think their personal quests have gone pretty well off the rails. On Jane's planet - perhaps the others as well - there wasn't enough sources of grist to actually build up to the first gate as intended. They might still try, though, with Dirk dropping everybody back off at their house. He could do that even easier if he knows where the third gates are located, rather than just flying around through the Incipisphere. Or they'll stick together now that they've been united. Without the Gift of Gab, I'm not sure how likely that is.

All four kids' entries were at least indirectly handled by Dirk. The guy's being set up for a huge fall, likely to come during Act 6.5 when his paradox descendants will be around to witness it. 6.4 will surely feature him and his robot double being increasingly weird as it gets built up to, perhaps loosely analogous to Rose deciding to wreck poo poo and subsequently going grimdark to everyone's concern.

Another 1? Aww man...
Tablets in Myststuck mentioned all of them, and the order their players would arrive (LOCAH, LOPAN, LOTAK, LOMAX). Which, now that everyone has entered, means Dirk's land is LOPAN, Roxy's is LOTAK, and Jake's is LOMAX.

Edit: VVV We got the planets appearing one at a time following each individual entry, which were given singular pages to themselves. Presumably, the order we see them corresponds to their order of entry, even if only a few seconds pass between each entry. And technically the only entries that could be 'at the same time' are Dirk's and Roxy's, as Jake's is Years In The Past (But Not Many), but they're occurring rapidly in the Incipisphere because of the different timeline there.

Short answer: Weird time poo poo.

Technically, didn't the last three players arrive simultaneously? The lands didn't enter at the same time, but I'm not sure that's necessarily relevant.

Krypton is appropriate for Roxy, though, given her whole void/blackout thing. (The element's name comes from a Greek word meaning "hidden" because it was the first noble gas found by a new method after a lot of trying. Neon and xenon were actually discovered later, though!)

The etymology for the four nobles gives Sun, New, Foreign, and Hidden.

Yeah,
Helium = Sun (Greek ήλιος)
Neon = New (Greek νέο)
Xenon = Foreign (Greek ξένο)
Krypton = Hidden (Greek κρυμένο)

These are all modern Greek words, but the ancient/medieval Greek ones are more or less the same and closer to the names of the elements.

Meanwhile, Calliope's dreamself is dead and she's "asleep" while her "brother" is active. I wonder if she'll be popping up in a bubble conference during the upcoming intermission or something.

In B1, jack spends a decent chunk of time wearing dirk's shades. We know that in B2, AR lived in those shades. maybe in B1, dirk also had a version of AR who was colluding with jack? Or other AI buddies? At the very least he probably had a computer in those things, so maybe jack was surfing the web and pesterchumming his buddies while bombing around B1 stabbing kids.

That seems unlikely. In B1 wearable computers were always a result of alchemizing, which I don't think Bro ever had access to. Also, Bec Noir was using something decidedly less high-tech the one time we saw him contact DD.

He based the auto-responder off of a captcha of his own brain, indicating he had access to some alchemy tools. B1 Dirk wasn't involved with SkaiaNet, so he probably did not have access to such technology, but who knows what a mysterious guy like that could've gotten up to?

I do sometimes wish the story would explain whatever conspiracy seemed to unite the B1 guardians a little. Skaianet, Mom, Dad, Bro, and Grandpa all seemed to know where they needed to be and what they needed to do. I doubt getting murdered by Bec Noir was actually part of the plan, although they may have known that they'd need to hold off some sort of threat as long as possible to protect their kids.

If Bro got his Hoverboard and some fancy technology from Grandpa Harley, who in turn got it from excavating Skaia tech from the island ruins, that could tie into whatever their plan was.

Well, we know that Mom worked for Grandpa; the lab under Rose's house was a SkaiaNet laboratory. Dad seems to have been out of the loop, but he was aware that the meteors were significant. I can't recall any indication that Bro was involved, however.

Captchalogueing seems to be a basic function of Skaia-linked worlds, with characters interacting with the cards as physical objects before any Sburb technology appears (such as John finding a fetch modus in his room). You can pretty much assume that the captcha information is there even if they don't have alchemy tools that take advantage of them, which in turn means that The Future might very reasonably have non-Sburb-related tools to take advantage of captcha information.

Probably, but that has nothing to do with Dave's Bro, who lived in the present.
