Has Dave ever done a big breakdown of how the creative process has changed over the years? I'm especially curious about the changes that happened between Chris Kreski being in charge and Stephanie solidifying power in 2004.

There's an Art to fishing a good answer out of Dave, sometimes I've gotten "Well, x is x" and sometimes I've gotten... Well, no I'm not sure I've actually gotten a long answer, but the idea is if you are specific and frame it directly he'll normally answer the question if he doesn't dismiss it out of hand. If it is more open he'll just skim the answer and not go into specifics. But then again I've heard him answer really vague questions about Japan in five minute long monologues so I guess dave.txt is the answer. edit: Also, you haven't lived until Bryan has said "I'm not sure I understand that question" on the pod.

I've been listening to less and less of the F4W/WO podcasts, but goddamn if Dave's newsletters aren't worth the monthly fee by themselves.quote:Next was supposed to be the results of the paternity test. Jeremy Borash came out and had the results, like this was some sort of a game show. Brilliant idea. Eric, what’s your phone number, we can do this reality show called Hillbilly Paternity Tests where you can recruit women from Appalachia who sleep around and are pregnant and every week find out who is the father. Yeah, I know it’s been done before on talk shows. But we can get Christopher Daniels as the host drinking that wine because he’s awesome as a talker or Borash himself. Yeah, I know, he’s got no talent and probably will go to some bar and brag that he’s the producer. Better than Borash, get Gene Okerlund as the host. And then bring in Hogan and Sting and Larry Zbyszko and Kevin Nash and Brutus Beefcake and we can’t forget the Nasty Boys and Bubba, get it on TV, and in a swerve, turn it into a wrestling promotion. We’ll beat Vince easy, particularly if we bring back Russo as a writer and have Sean Morley do his old porn star gimmick.

I also enjoy it when Brian is so busy sperging out about something that he completely misses the point and Dave Meltzer of all people has to explain to him why something was funny, like the editing in the Kane video that made it seem like his story took hours. This is why I like tag team table matches, where both members of a team have to go through tables to be eliminated. They haven't done one in ages, of course, but to me those are the perfect use of a tables match.
