yep swt is terrible.

not every platform does native widgets the same way so that kind of stuff is to be expected. ex: newer versions of osx have upsidedown scrolling by default and no scrollbars at all.

in all seriousness, i'm unsure of the whole thing to be honest. it's an asp.net position and i had to go through a recruiter for this whole thing. the guy is mostly useless, but he got me a phone screen with someone from the company, which i guess went fine because they want me to come in. i was about as honest as i could be without talking myself down and said that i'd be learning on the job, but that's 99% of dev positions anyway, so they shouldn't mind. if they're not ok with it then they shouldn't list the job as entry/jr level.

i do want to try and get in touch with someone and clarify that they're not looking for more than what was posted, but the recruiter "doesn't have" the emails of the guys i'll be interviewing with. can't find anything through a search other than a generic company email, so i may just have to call over there if i get a chance.

i just want to get out of cj/other bullshit hell :(

It's weird how all English speaking companies have the same lovely manager jargon. Do mba classes just consist of rote learning of the phrases?

dunno

i'd bet it's just like any other meme, where it took root in accenture (reddit) and they spread that poo poo everywhere because there's millions of people who are ex-accenture or work with someone who is

and we're all basically hipsters that get tired of memes faster than the olds that use them unironically
