Better photo of my livery, it went down the entire car: When one of the Z06s has an unrecoverable slide with passengers, he reorients the car the correct way:

Well hey there little guy! What's that under your... And people complain that no one does interesting swaps anymore. Best part is that the owner of this car originally posted to z31performance because he was running really rich. I probably would have checked the ECU codes first, but that's one way to go.

sofullofhate posted:Holy. I believe that build was pushing around 1150 WHP. He currently has it ripped apart and is doing build number 4 hoping to achieve around 1400 WHP. He does virtually all his own machine work too. I'll have to try to find the pictures, but there's one with about 10 solid aluminum square blocks that he carves his parts from. Fake edit: Found them. This is a car he worked on. I think he mostly just tuned it. The owner flew him out to do the work at Nevis Island. I'm not AI enough to identify the car, but the engine is a Buick V6 with a 91mm turbo.

Judging by that milling setup and the cad screen, it's not like the dude is a joe schmo. Ok maybe a little, winxp lawl. Also those pictures reminded me of my days working in the racecar shop and it made me strangely miss it even though it was brutal work.

Dirtbikes ramp to dirt landing are at or near 400 feet, but none of those vehicles weigh 12000lbs like a monster truck. To send a monster truck that distance takes a lot of power and some very very well engineered suspension.

If I recall correctly the one featured in the movie was the original big block powered van that was used by Brock Yates in the actual race. Edit: I liked "The Gumball Rally" better. Thelonious fucked around with this message at 22:27 on Sep 20, 2012 |

Better tell him not to lend it to a videogame company, to not secure it properly in transport, to threaten to sue said company when the spraycan paintjob gets scratched for something that was their own fault and then to post the personal details of a girl that had nothing to do with the damage to reddit so that she (a cancer survivor) gets rape threats on her birthday. Then tell him to get trolled so hard out of reddit when the full story comes out that he has to get his girlfriend/wife to post a thread defending him. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

tobu posted:My question is what does a link selling numberplates have to do with that van? I wondered the same thing. If you scroll through the site, you'll see that they list a license plate for the ambulance from Cannonball Run. I therefore took that to mean that the ambulance he posted a pic of is a replica of the one from Cannonball Run. Why we couldn't just be TOLD that, I don't know.

Yeah i hosed that up. The guy who built the van is Travis Bell, and he makes those license plates. Also, he (and Jim Shine) were the guys who found and restored "Lee 1" Here's a video of Travis describing the origins of the Cannonball Run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kU_WcGSZ0FU
