I like Workaholics, so it was cool to hear Adam on the show, but Pitch Perfect isn't really a movie for the CBB audience and Hana Mae Lee just seemed bored and slightly irritated. Also, I originally thought "get pitch slapped" was a creation of Sheer's character, rather than the movie's actual tag line.

I've used beyondpod for the longest time. The daily automatic updates seemed to turn themselves off every now and then, but otherwise it works really well.

Its certainly better than Google Listen. I wish that Android would get a sleeker podcast manager.

I like DoggCatcher a lot, but I haven't tried another on Android. I can't think of any feature I want that it doesn't do. That includes variable speed playback, though you have to pay a few bucks extra.

In a perfect world, Harris Wittels would be there, too.

Podkicker's pretty solid for a free one. I use an ipod for 95% of my listening, so admittedly the android client is just a backup for occasional streaming (and I've never tried the for-pay apps), but podkicker's by far the best of the handful of free ones I've gone through.

I waskinda wondering if it's the Halloween ep since there's so many people, but there's no Brett Gelman. Can't have Halloween without Brett Gelman.

I can't quite place the guy next to Lauren Lapkus, but goddamn. Gonna be a good ep.

I believe thats Gillian Jacobs.

And speaking of the Halloween episode, I re-listened to it the other day and it is absolutely loving hysterical. So, uh, go do that.

I didn't think the character was bad, just the voice was really grating. She could have taken it down a couple notches and it would have been ok.

I adore The Choctaw's obsession with bad puns and catchphrases. "My wife" has only ever made me laugh when it was quoted on this show, and the Gilly references had me laughing out loud at my desk like a fool.

Yeah I didn't see who was on before I started listening and was sure the whole way through till the plugs that it was Nasim Pedrad. I thought Lapkus was funny on improv4humans but that voice was too grating to do a whole hour long character around.

Yes, yes and yes! Saucerman's obsession with (bad) catchphrases is just great and his Sorry! made me laugh more than SNL Gilly ever did.

And I also thought that it was Nasim Pedrad.

Edit: I actually liked the voice, especially when it was so over the top that they didn't understand her.

I was just mostly upset there wasn't a "Please, Call Me Garry". I thought Lauren Lapkus' character was pretty funny, and the concept was solid, but the voice did have me wincing from time to time. I think she felt the need to do a Karack voice and, while it was on point for what she was trying to portray, ultimately it was just a bit too much.

Also Gillian Jacobs was fantastic this ep and her Garry Marshall affectation was awesome.

To the sun's savage brightness he exposed the dark and secret surface of his retinas, so that by burning the memory of vengeance might be preserved, and never perish.
Gillian had a pretty strong Garry Marshall impression. I wish she were on the show more often, as she gets the rhythm of the show and bounces off her guests really strongly. Listening to her writhe about Words With Friends will always be funny.

Lapkus was hilarious, but I think I responded to it because she reminds me of a few people I really know. The 'pretentious traveler' type is a pretty unique angle. She was a big part of what made Would You Rather so great this week.

This is a top-five of the year episode for me. Up there with the Bro-Andy Samberg reunion and the Lizzy Caplan episode.
