I like the poster except for the fire and people standing on the title. I like the border effect alot.

This earlier version wasn't too bad I thought. It's one of the reasons I remember this movie quite clearly. It's different.

Vagabundo posted:Is it another remake? It's supposed to be a sequel to the original from 1974. At first I thought it was a remake, and the trailer they're showing for it in theaters has a line like "It happened before. Now it's happening again." in it. First time I saw that, I burst out laughing in the theater. I thought it was loving hilarious. But then I found out it was a sequel and it wasn't as funny anymore, but it was still pretty goddamn funny.

IIRC, there were already 3 sequels to the original, so I guess they don't count any more. And then there was the remake and I believe a prequel to the remake and oh dear, I've gone cross-eyed.

I'm pretty sure the first sequel didn't count since long before this. Like, ever since the poster.

They're going Superman Returns style and are only rebooting the sequel(s). They could do this with a lot of franchises, actually.

I believe it's going to be on VOD December 27th, and in (select?) theaters some time in February.

I feel like the Johnny Knoxville character should be aiming straight ahead to kinda balance it out. Too many guns aimed toward the right side. But I guess people get scared when there's a picture of a gun aiming at them, so it's not okay to do. That is a pretty sweet poster, though.

OnlyJuanMon posted:The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the OG. Nope. Next Generation is a SEQUEL to the original that discounts the other two sequels. So the TCM franchise has 3 separate timelines, two of which branch out of the original. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (OG)-TCM 2-Leatherface: TCM 3 Texas Chainsaw Massacre (OG)- TCM: The Next Generation Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning- TCM (2003) And now it would appear that Leatherface 3D is a sequel to the original, so that would add ANOTHER branching timeline that goes: Texas Chainsaw Massacre (OG)-Leatherface 3D
