You can make propaganda posters for movies without the tone being silly.

The poster is okay. It sorta looks like they gave it to someone who had a good concept but didn't really know how to pull off a convincing retro propaganda motif. I mean, they could've really committed and gotten someone to draw the characters in the poster rather than use what looks like standard CG render and then filter it to death. The textwork and general layout is a little generic as well.

Seems like something one of the Mondo artists could've really pulled off well.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) is a remake of the OG
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning is a PREQUEL to the remake

Think that's about right.

Actually, TCM3 is kind of sort of a remake too.

The most generic action poster in the world, even if it does have Tom Cruise with a big head.

A semi-decent poster that would work a lot better if the title of the movie were on it in some capacity (it's the remake of "Carrie").

The best bit about the Jack Reacher film is that he's 6'5" tall in the books. It's going to be LOTR levels of tilt-shift.

A character from a series of mystery novels by Lee Child, written as a bulky, sardonic ex-military guy. The movie is adapted from "One Shot", which is actually the ninth Reacher book. I've only read that book so far, and it was a fun, quick read.

Five years ago this movie would have starred Lindsay Lohan, and we'd all be cracking jokes about "Meet the FBI's new secret weapon - herpes!" I wonder if five years from now we'll be nostalgically looking back on the days before Miley Cyrus self-destruction jokes became passe.

The best part is, any editor who is half decent at After Effects, or even loving Final Cut Pro, could have removed that reflection pretty easily, or at least made it less noticeable. And any DoP who knows what they're doing would have been able to hide the camera in the first place.
