Krakkles posted:Actually, that "fictitious" bit means that they're registering a "doing business as" or DBA name. It's a quite normal part of the business world. My guess is Mr. Ramen Deep Kaur didn't fill out his immigration paper work correctly, and now his first name is legally FNU, aka First Name Unknown.

Brigdh posted:My guess is Mr. Ramen Deep Kaur didn't fill out his immigration paper work correctly, and now his first name is legally FNU, aka First Name Unknown. This is undoubtedly correct. This happens a lot more than most people realize, especially to Asian immigrants. In fact, he may have filled it out correctly and it was processed incorrectly. It ends up with their full name being their surname, and FNU as their first name on their visa or passport. If this is in fact the case here this guy now knows what's up and decided to own it. Which is pretty drat cool. Who cares what your legal name is? It matters for this, your taxes, licensure and banking. Not worth the trouble to correct.

They're butchering that thing. What kind of idiot tries to randomly, blindly drill new body panel mounting holes without first measuring and marking where the old screw stubs are? Hell, make a small Sharpie line on the bottom cover panel along the centerline of each old fastener, then simply drill between em and wipe the Sharpie off with some isopropyl.

Re: Speed limit chat There's a thread in PYF where someone posted some libertarian garbage about how we should all be able to drive as fast as we like all the time. I didn't want to post about how most speed limits are set artificially low to collect revenue. Then again I am a member of the National Motorist's Association so maybe I am more prone to these beliefs. I think short yellows are a bigger problem that no one really talks about, though. Sorry for the derail, back to AI car poo poo.
