The car isn't that special, but I hadn't seen it since I sold it to the current owner. AP2 front bumper, clear indicators, debadged except for the red S trunk badge, Rota Slipstreams, and the tears on the softtop. Oh, and the silencered Megan single exhaust. I was giddy just to see it again, and in the same form.

Given that the safety aspects of car seats are handled by the frames, I don't see why we need such massive chunks of foam and leather to sit on. Anyone who has ever gotten into a car on a hot day realises that, maybe, sitting on six inches of foam padding isn't the best way to go. So why not make the material out of something more refreshing for hot weather? Like this: And you could place fans directly underneath and behind the seat to blow cool, refreshing air onto the driver through the fabric. I bought myself a car seat fan mat a couple of years ago after a recommendation by someone here and never regretted it. Having it actually be part of the design of the car could only be a good thing. There have been luxury cars with airconditioned seats for years. But, yes, I would like to see wider availability.

That's assuming you can't make a comfortable mesh based seat. I don't see why you couldn't, some very nice office chairs people spend 8 hours a day in are constructed that way.

Offices don't have speed bumps, potholes and corners though. The stresses an office chair has to endure are nothing like a seat in a car. Never mind the forces of what happens in a crash. Is much rather have a sturdy seat with inches upon inches of cushioning instead of a thin mesh weave.

Seats don't really have that much cushioning once you take into account the adjustment mechanisms, airbags and such. The sporty seats you find in performance cars are pretty thin.

There are so many supercars nowadays that the segment has become pretty dull. 200mph, 10 or 11 seconds in the quarter mile, over 1g of turning.... so many cars can do this all now. Cars like the Vette and Viper get recognition because they are so cheap. while I'm starting to feel that the Porsches, Ferraris and Lamborghinis of the world are becoming a bit, I dunno, bland. You know what to expect out of them. Things like the Bugatti are exceptional because of the technology, but the Veyron is such a sterile, emotionless car that I just can't be excited about it outside of the numbers it puts down and the technical porn that's under its body. Pagani, though.... Pagani gets it. They totally understand what a supercar was originally meant to be. Sure, they are fast. Exceptionally fast. They are technically impressive, and they are exclusive. All of that you can get elsewhere, though. What they nail is the extravagance, the presence of a supercar. That interior is like a Swiss pocketwatch, it's exquisite, it's a literal work of art. Pagani makes works of art, emotional cars that require the owner or spectator to think about what they are viewing, or driving. It's more than just being fast or handling, it's more than being exclusive, or offering exclusive levels of performance at a price for the everyman. They are more "super" than almost any other supercar can lay claim to, and god do I love them for that. Devyl posted:The guy found the motor & engine on Ebay for $600! The SRT Ram motor mounts are specifically designed for the SRT Rams. The whole chassis under an SRT Ram is noticeably different than a regular Ram is, you couldn't just buy a Viper V10 and slide it into a Hemi Rams engine bay. It's not that different, though, so you could modify a regular Ram quite easily to accept a V10. The V10 and 6 speed gearbox was only offered in the SRT-10 package, so all the crossmembers and such are different. Seizure Meat fucked around with this message at 21:22 on Nov 8, 2012 |

Because the guy building it said he used the v10 mounts from a 3/4 ton and they fit ok. Of course, fab from the mount to the chassis might require some work.

My friend had a 2 door srt10 ram. Weird truck, it would do endless burnouts with a clutch drop due to the truck weight. He had it for 6 weeks and then the dealership called him asking if he wanted to sell it back for $5000 over what he paid.

Every time someone posts the SRT10 Ram, I look and see that they've gotten even more ridiculously cheap on the used market. And then I look at the EPA number of "9 MPG Combined" and see why.
