can we just agree that this is going to turn into a stupid discussion and should have been posted in the HF thread? I'm pretty sure TT put it in here just to piss people off anyways. I personally don't like the way that subaru looks but I don't feel like reading a bunch of mad posts about it either.

I just threw K-sport coilovers on mine, haven't even touched the engine, and it's already the best money that I've ever thrown at a car.

I don't know about that, looking at the full res image I can't see any real curbing. Also that brake dust could just be from particularly dusty pads - my Skyline for instance would look just like that after a 1000km journey off the main roads.

It's in the UK in November. It'll look like that after a day or two anyway. If it's in that state all the time, fair enough.

Here were a few interesting ones around town lately, I haven't taken any of the exotics in a while. Legit: I had no idea AMG made Diesels, I actually thought this was just someone adding badges until I learned otherwise. I think this was Laguna Seca blue, I'm bummed I couldn't get a better picture of it.

DVLA check says it's a '73, but that's all it says about it other than the engine being the correct size for the RS, 2.7l. It had some Historic Sports Car Club badges on it, for what it's worth.

I figured that Odyssey=>Odysseus, but I can see how it would be hard to make the connection (Odysseus wasn't that loving old, for one). Edit: it's loving Homer. Yeah that's a stretch. My father (who is kind of AI awesome himself ) has a Miata with that body kit, a Ford V8 / 5-speed and Dayton knock-offs (I mean "use a hammer to take them off" not "they're fakes"). It's an absolute hoot to drive. At the dyno facility. I road-tuned it (it's a bored / stroked Mustang engine with a Quarterhorse ECU piggyback board) the day before. Strapped in. Note the plate (heh) and watercut aluminum logo (my sister designed it!). MTM = Mel's Torque Monster. Yes, it actually displaces 5.8L after the bore / stroke. I'ma let this speak for itself. I suspect that there's something wrong with this dyno, but it pulled strong and consistently so 6 times. I was mostly concerned about the AFR which we tweaked a bit in between pulls. A bad picture of my father and the car. He daily drives it until it starts to snow. So yeah. That body kit and Jim Simpson are both pretty awesome and AI in my humble.

You can buy kits which are a spline-drive for the wire wheel bolting onto the regular hub, so I'd guess it's one of those types of things. Edit: Did the coupe version ever get anywhere? Because drat, it looks nice. There's one in the UK called the MX250, but I don't think it's quite got the same appeal. InitialDave fucked around with this message at 23:52 on Nov 24, 2012 |

The wire knock-offs and the Ferrari mirrors really make the look of the car work, I think (the Cobra rear-view mirror is pretty cool too). And it is silly, silly fun to drive.
