Page 272's up. Panels 4 and 5 are pretty cleverly done, I gotta say.

Almond, what did you expect? He's a giant squid and you're like a 40 pound bunny girl. Poor Liquus though. He's been knocked around so much lately.

Good, Almond will finally learn that she's not actually able to take on everything with just spunk and a sword.

Initially page 269 wasn't showing up for me, so for about a week I just thought Splashmaster broke the Limbo Zone by thinking really hard.

Quick, Cucumber! Drain the sea away, or your friends will drown! I don't know whether the bathtub spell will be useful soon, or whether it'll wait until the readers have forgotten about it before becoming instrumental in the grand finale against the Nightmare Knight.

Isn't the physics gonna be 100% against them, trying to pull a drain under like 40 vertical feet of water? Maybe Almond will cut the stopper in half.

So I wonder what kind of clever solution will they come up with. I have to say that so far the battle against Splashmaster has been a lot more challenging that I expected it to be.

Cuco is having a hard time coming to terms with the extent to which the universe demands he shut off his logic valve and play by its incredibly silly rules.

Well, there were two ways to do that and have it work. Have it be hideously overcomplex and contain an explanation of the physics behind it, or just use cartoon logic and say "Almond is strong, Cucumber helped, it came out". I am totally okay with this outcome, as it means we get to the important part quickly. Also... rotinaj posted:this spell will allow Cucumber to be a total badass WHO CALLED IT, HELL YES

Oh so THAT'S how it works. This whole time I was thinking it makes JUST the plug, without a hole. I was so confused about the usefulness of the spell in a place where they don't need to actually plug anything.

I'm now wondering if you could get the Extremely Specific And Pretty Much Completely Worthless Capsule Spell Machine under the Trade Descriptions Act. Then again, I guess "Pretty Much" does give it enough legal wiggle room. Also no-one would actually want to complain if their spell actually did do something useful, so hey. Now we just need to find out what the pizza spell does. Maybe Splashmaster is lactose-intolerant? Paul.Power fucked around with this message at 13:59 on Dec 3, 2012 |
