I'm not a very good programmer, but that's okay. I like working with good programmers and learning, and achieving things that are neat or add value.

Win8 Hetro Experie posted:one co-pilot literally says "I don't understand what's happening" while a mechanical voice is yelling "STALL! STALL!" That's the co-pilot who's pulling back on the stick during a stall. The other co-pilot is pushing forward because he apparently went to pilot school. The complete lack of feedback in the system is a major cause of the failure here. Everyone was confused because the plane wasn't coming out of the stall, they weren't confused about the fact that the plane was stalling.

it helps if you stop thinking as your editor as some infinite blank workspace to build your special crystal towers of code in and instead think of it as a canvas with dimensions and constraints, and very specific applicability if your poo poo is doing too much, pull it out, into another function, another class, into another library even it's difficult to find the dividing lines but few things are more important in code because those lines are where 100 years from now some weenus is going to need to inject new functionality

It's absolutely possible to go nuts in a full size cubicle In my case by being in a team that was in constant emergency mode due to poo poo legacy code, located next to another team that goofed off all the time They watched loving sports replays and played with toys while our customer sites burned

Speaking of office chat, I'm thinking about getting a couch and a coffee table for laptoppin' and then setting up a standup desk for when I want to hook up to my display. If I didn't need the display I'd probably take all the furniture out and put a nice rug in and just sit on the floor and do work like this one person I work with.

Oh whats that? You don't have to declare anything? Why sure! Come on in spelling mistakes. Python is a pretty terrible language for a multitude of reasons. Those two being the biggest.

depression is a poo poo disease/condition/whatever and if he killed himself he must've had it pretty bad what he did was probably illegal but at the same time doing stuff like comparing a mac address to a VIN is bad and they obviously took the 'throw everything at him and see what sticks' approach. i know yeauxpeaux likes to disagree with the free software circlejerk but computer laws are still seriously hosed
