I love the whole "dorking around with a ratty, abused car" episodes. Another reason I enjoy RoadKill so much.

KozmoNaut posted:I like Ferrari and I think they've made some awesome cars. Yeah, Ferrari and Lamborghini have the production mindset. They're all about refining the way they do things rather than taking big risks. Koenigsegg and Pagani seem like they look at something say "If we used a material which costs 3x as much and is twice as difficult to work with we could shave 1/5th the weight off of this and increase the torsional stiffness by 10NM... Lets do it!". Which I guess you can get away with when your customers don't seem to care how much they spend as long as they get the most insane vehicle out there. I guess when you've basically got a waiting list for every car you make it tends to inspire confidence.

I think the Pagani dashboard is the only steampunk-esque thing that really works for me. It is functional, yet so over the top it's fantastically absurd.

The Pagani's Victorian disco interior is there to remind you that you're in a retro spaceship with wheels, just in case you forgot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtcdifIG4rY Nelson's new low profile big block engine is a thing of beauty. If I had a big boat from the 60s in need of an engine and the cash, this is what I'd put in it.
