So a 2003 Dodge Caravan Taxi comes in for service: The owner claims that the 3.3L under the hood is still the original and that he's always taken good care of it. It ran and drove about as well as anyone would expect, despite the CEL being lit. I don't suppose it's impossible to achieve something like this with proper maintenance, I just never thought I'd see it on a newer Caravan.

Japanese take vans really seriously. I remember seeing 6 pot Project Mu calipers + Advan wheels on Minivans.

Grumbletron 4000 posted:http://i.imgur.com/47uF0pF.jpg I actually saw a van from that era today. I couldn't tell the make/model, but it was painted a pastel blue with a big mural of a wolf on each side, with "LONE WOLF" (and a smaller wolf painting) on the spare tire cover. The paint looked faded enough to be originally from the 1970's, so I guess someone decided it was worth keeping something that awesome on the road for 30+ years.

The titular van is a yellow Dodge van called The Straight Arrow, yet they play that awful "Chevy Van" song at least three times during the film. Standard '70s softcore comedy.

Those Dodge vans are rally quite simple to keep on the road in my experience, as long as you are willing to replace the transmission every time it shits the bed, and have four joints in your arm to change the rear bank of spark plugs every 100k or so.

Euro is single piece of glass covering multiple reflectors and lamps. US (NHTSA) is a bezel containing a standard 7-inch round sealed beam and a turn signal/running lamp.

It's also a 40-year-old design, which may explain the lack of power. The 3.3L V6 in the Dodge Caravan is 20 years younger.
