I actually had a giant Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah poster set up that way. Dudes loved it, girls - didn't. It was also signed by the guy who played Android M11.

No, this one's directed by Alan Taylor, a TV director. His credits include episodes of...Oz, Homicide, The West Wing, Deadwood, The Sopranos, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, and Game of Thrones? :stare:

Marvel's current production strategy is to hire character and actor-driven TV directors for the story bits and big name 2nd unit directors for the action scenes. They're following the same formula on Winter Soldier.

To be fair Alan Taylor has turned in excellent work on TV.

I'm more curious about the Russo brothers, who are the ones directing Winter Soldier.

This was the VHS cover in the UK. It was utterly confusing to me as a kid because I'd seen Evil Dead 2 but not the original film by that point and had no idea that AoD was related to the others. I also spent the whole time wondering when that He-Man on the cover was going to show up.

Seems like a pretty good strategy to me, best of both worlds. Did they do this for any of the phase one movies? And who are some of the big name 2nd unit directors involved?

^Vengeance Is Mine is a surprisingly-well-done film. I can't in good conscience suggest that people seek it out, but if you ever find yourself with absolutely nothing else to watch, it's not as terrible as that poster would imply. And that Chris Elliott poster is amazing. Is the title really Action Family FDR: A One-Man Show?

I'm generally a fan of Parker Posey, but this poster is doing a terrible job of making me want to see the movie.

I suppose any film with a name like that is going to lose points just for evoking Michael Myers' magnum opus.
