This is a game title screen, but I love it because the dog is named Mr. Biscuits, he's a private detective, and he looks like he has Downs Syndrome.

I hope he's searching for some colons, because that title could use one or two.

More like "Blawesome"
So the upcoming horror movie You're Next has a pretty interesting ad campaign...

And apparently, they did this without explicit permission.

Filmmaking: just as dangerous as sports.

Real Bullets and Real Beards

Death by Dialogue and Body by Jake

Exclamation! Points! For! Everybody!

Filmed in 1980, released in 2005

Just like normal effects but with lower test scores

Star Vehicle AKA Bleading Lady

the Last Horror Film since the last horror film

This one doesn't really fit the theme but it's just too good not to share

God damn it, you've got to be kind.
The early 1980s were a big time for Albert Finney. Not that he isn't a great actor but it seemed strange for him to be getting leading Hollywood roles.

They used to play this on cable TV all the time. Some decent effects and early CG but otherwise pretty crappy. The Looker gun is the best thing about it. Look at those old TV sets. LOOK AT THEM!

He was also in the well made but confused Wolfen, which is one of the first places I saw Edward James Olmos as well as Tom Noonan. This too was played like crazy on Showtime and HBO, probably because it had the right mix of violence and nudity without costing too much in licensing fees. If you liked Predator's vision effects they did it first here, although not as sophisticated.

And for the Finney trifecta is this lovely, "On Golden Pond" style poster for Shoot the Moon, which can be best described as "not a feel-good movie" although it has one fewer decapitation than Wolfen. The advertising was mixed up and I expect plenty of people were taken off-guard by how gut-wrenching this movie is.

EDIT: For comparison here's On Golden Pond which came out maybe a year earlier.

I just looked up David DeCoteau's filmography, and both A Talking Pony!?! and My Stepbrother Is a Vampire!?! are in post-production.

My favorite aspect of these movies is how he's clearly pulling from his softcore gay porn talent for his family films.

I like it a lot. It puts a really interesting twist on the original- one that goes against the "suddenly the robots got tired of losing" scenario, but still fun. Plus Fonda and Danner have sort of an old fashioned Tracy/Hepburn thing going.
