For what it's worth, those character sprites were literally made in a Flash dress-up game/generator I saw a few years back.

DStecks posted:I actually think they look pretty nice, especially if you'd be doing a more straight-medieval low-magic campaign, but the internal variance of the wood will skew the rolls, and that doesn't even account for the total impossibility of machining wood symmetrically by hand. I think they're pretty, and outside of a casino some slight bias in rolls probably won't make a huge amount of difference, especially since each die will have a slightly different bias profile and if you're rolling a big handful of them like you do in most D6 based wargames there will be a mixture of numbers favoured which will cancel out most of the effect from individual dice.

Wargames like Warhammer and 40k use BUCKETLOADS of D6, since you often roll one for every attack of every model in your unit, and some models can attack like 9 times. A lot of people buy D6s in sets of like 36 or more, so there's definitely a market for them, though most people prefer large matching sets so it's easier to pick out the hits from the misses in large rolls.

Heres what I gathered by myself Chloe Sagal was a woman who said she was dying of metal poisoning due to injuries sustained in a car accident. She was raising money in order to have a life-saving surgery because of the metal fragments that were not removed during the accident. She made a kickstarter, which was closed by indegogo for fraudulence after it seemed suspicious. She posted on a forum quote:I've failed. During the time of the kickstarter, people on websites like Something Awful, Reddit, Facepunch, and many others raised their doubts about the kickstarter, believing it was a scam and that she was lying to make money. Some even hypothesized that the 29,000 surgery was sex reassignment MtF. This is the thread, on PZ own forum: http://www.theindiestone.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12430&start=100.

Hmm. Reading that indiestone thread now. The youtube comments she posted are awful. Like, even by youtube standards. I'm still not sure why people seem to just be taking it as fact that she was scamming for SRS. If that was what she wanted, I would probably throw money at that. It seems pretty plausible that she was taken in by some quack who fed her a lovely diagnosis.

If it was a life or death operation there is no way that she would need the money up front to get the surgery, but she kept towing the line that she needed the money to pay for the surgery. I can understand being afraid of paying a hospital bill AFTER you get a surgical procedure, but that is something you worry about afterwards, when you are out of danger. Emergency rooms can not deny you treatment in a life/death situation.

If she actually needed money for a life-saving surgery that was going to prevent a condition causing her imminent death (what was the countdown? Like a couple of months?), why kill herself? Sounds like the whatever disease was going to take care of that for her. None of this is adding up!

A lot of people with terminal illness want to / do kill themselves, either because their illness is painful, or they want a measure of control in how it happens. On the campaign, she said the timeline got moved up suddenly due to complications, so it's not impossible she saw the campaign as her last chance.

Neogaf seems to have decent info on the Chloe Sagal situation: http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=556930 It seems like there was 18 minutes of nothing, then she possibly took some pills or ate something and twitchtv ended the feed. EMTs had already been called. More recently in the thread, someone seems to have verified that she's alive and hospitalized. Yay.
