I saw this game pop up on my linkedin not too long ago: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1243798631/poke-a-monsta They claim it's a game with "10 levels of Retro style action". "Retro" now apparently mean "incredibly low effort". The gameplay appears to be solely about clicking poo poo on screen when it appears. They're trying to get funding so that they can buy GameMaker Studio Pro and Sketchbook Pro to finish the game. GameMaker makes some sense, but Sketchbook Pro is a touch overkill for a game built around pixel art. They've also provided crayon drawings to prove that they drew pictures of game ideas when they were kids(like every other kid): greatBigJerk has a new favorite as of 15:44 on Jun 8, 2013 |

Oh you want tragic and absurd? Try this one on for size: box shipment #2 by Jordan Wayne Long quote:box shipment #2 is a performance where I will be physically shipped from Detroit, Michigan to Portland, Oregon while locked in a Museum Crate. I am developing this crate to house an on board computer(with wireless access), Battery packs, food, water, waste disposal system and chair that I will be confined to for the duration of the trip. Once reaching the gallery a performance will take place while still inside the box. On the journey my only connection to the outside world will be through an online video game. Two writers will document my travels by blogging about them throughout the trip. One will be along for the journey of the box to the gallery and the other will write on my movements he observes in the online video game. quote:To test out whether or not I could handle the claustrophobia aspect of this performance I locked myself in a museum crate for 4 days. quote:7 Backers Not only does he have to deal with the embarrassment and rejection of his weird KS project attracting hardly any backers, he locked himself in a box for four days for nothing.
