You got to hang with Burton? Cool poo poo man. Did you tell him to retire? RCR is definitely the most little kid friendly of the teams from what I've heard. It started back in the days of Earnhardt, and was a pretty good kept secret due to the reputation the black #3 had. Childress is a big softie, though. Say what you will about NASCAR, but the organization, teams and drivers are probably the most charitable group going in motorsports when put into context of what the teams spend a year.

I can't stand the sport itself but I still go every year. Watching the race with pit passes is un-loving-real and something everyone should do once and the infield parties are insanely fun.

Absolute truth here. RCR opened up their entire organization for us to see. Garage, pits, pit stands, their golf cart, victory circle, the track itself (my boy wrote his name on the checkers of the start/finish line), it was fantastic. meatpimp fucked around with this message at 22:09 on Jun 17, 2013 |

Saw this guy a few weeks back at the local shopping centre. It is a 60 decade old FJ Holden body slammed onto a Hilux. Sorry about gopro photos and the tiny thumbnail for the front view. imgur doesn't want to create a large thumbnail.

The doors were still from a hilux. Meanwhile it's pretty drat dry here so if you keep them indoors... rust isn't too bad?

Most of them are wraps, which are much quicker and easier to apply. One of the few painted cars this weekend was Jeff Gordon's car... here's a pic, before it got destroyed a few laps in. It's a shame, the painted cars are much prettier up close.

Throatwarbler posted:The mounting seems...precarious, and what's he doing for charge cooling? Charge cooling isn't really critical on supercharged engines. Most of the heat in turbo cars comes from the blazing hot exhaust turbine. Considering they're sucking cold air before it's compressed, they're probably fine as long as they're not running insane amounts of boost.
