Yeah, you have no control over the NPCs, so if the enemies could see them the stealth system would be completely broken. I totally understand why they set it up like that and agree with the decision but its still kinda funny to catch in a no-win scenario.

I had one glitch in Last of Us last night. The game has some really nice enviromental close combat moves, like for example I attacked a guy who climbed on to a tipped over bookshelf as I was crouching next to it, which caused Joel to grab his ankles and yank him down. But sometimes it becomes confused. I was fighting a guy standing in a pool of water and got the finishing move where Joel stomps on the guys head, which caused his body to shoot out of the water like rocket, flipping all over the place.

The very first enemy I killed in The Last of Us fell backwards and his head got stuck in the wall. Then the rest of his body flipped into the air and spun like a propeller until his head came loose and he fell to the ground.

Eventually I gave it a little hole to sit in next to the butcher's shop as an infinite source of meat but eventually it finally died for real after feeding a fortress of like 60 dwarves for 5 months.

See, it's stuff like this that makes me enjoy stories from DF or SS13. You probably wouldn't get stories quite like this from some AAA title with a million dollars tied up in it and fantastic graphics. Skyrim's glitches sometimes come close, but there's just something so much more enjoyable about these tales that require me to picture the events myself.

The mindset that every single moment of the game must be carefully designed, verified, polished, and approved by the creative team makes that sort of thing nearly impossible. No one has the confidence to create interdependent feedback systems and just let 'er rip because if the game does something dumb or frustrating of its own accord they believe it reflects badly on them and their future sales. Of course, the problem with the games that do take that approach is that they become way more fun to read about than actually play.

Playing AC: Brotherhood, I did an aerial assassination on a soldier but kinda bounced off a tree. Ezio gained upward momentum and went on a beautiful skyward journey (stuck in the "falling through the air to kill a man" pose), which gave me some great views of the world so that's cool.

There's also a couple of more normal throws in the video too. http://youtu.be/NeanrJtksK8?t=1m17s In Skyrim I also happened to accidentally fling one of the immortal flagged Stormcloaks over the inner siege walls of Solitude during the invasion quest in the Stormcloak civil war questline. A lucky fus roh dah pushed him right into a hill and caused him to bounce up and right over the wall. Once I was trying to use the blacksmithing forge in Whiterun while Adrianne was using it. So I kept spamming the interact button which usually makes her stop and get kind of shoved out of the way when it goes into the smithing screen. Somehow she got shoved so violently (or maybe hit some object I didn't see) and got launched straight up into the air. I saw her land behind me in the background of the smithing menu and crawl around on the ground a while since she was almost dead from the fall damage.

Had a pretty good one last night on Just Cause 2. Found a Baby Panay Statue but had had no explosives to blow it up with, so I decided to airlift in a Razorback and blow it up because why the hell not? After doing so, the military comes after me and I drove off towards one of the faction bases. I obviously hit people and cars along the way but suddenly started hearing this really odd noise coming from the tank. After reaching the base, I hopped out and looked in front of the tank. Apparently one of the motorcyclists that I hit didn't go flying but the motorcycle got stuck in the front of the tank, and was currently halfway in the ground. With the guy still driving it and attempting to drive forward through my tank. As soon as I stopped and got out, though, he got off the motorcycle and ran off. Damnedest thing I've seen from that game so far, besides the whole ability to kill myself before ever launching off the ground with an airplane. That's not a glitch though, that's just bad piloting.

I wish I had gotten to see this, somebody commented in the Last of Us thread that he watched somebody playing duck into a bathroom to hide only to have the floor texture disappear and then turn white just before Ellie went "Oh, gently caress." I can picture the timing in my head and it's hilarious.
