Well, I squeezed in close to three hours last night. Man I forgot how over-the-top fun the first one was. I'm level 7 and still haven't found a sniper rifle for my 0. So as of now I'm resorting to shooting folks with my Maliwan (Light some people on fiirree) pistol. Then pulling out my shot-gun, doing the decoy and slashing folks.

I think Seraph only drops in UVHM mode now, and I did not realize that until I had applied the patch. If you had enough pre-patch then yes, it carried over. I suppose I need to hit 61 and figure out the cheese method for the dragons. I somehow don't think it will be 'easy' solo...

Took me about an hour to get enough in TVHM to get a higher level Harold in UVHM. I did not have the patience to reload forever for a double penetrating variety but will slog it out when I hit 61.

I must be either undergeared or bad at borderlands. I have a 54 (or 55?) Gaige and I cannot for the life of me solo Leviathan on UVHM. Slag doesn't seem to impact the giant whaleworm at all, and I run out of ammo before getting even a quarter of his health chipped off. I have a slag telecaster, regular harold, and other random purple/pink guns that don't seem to do a lot. Everything else goes down pretty well with the slag caster and harold combo. What am I doing wrong? I figured I would get some loot from the loot chamber and keep slogging to 61 and then just reset UVHM when I wanted real gear....

I'm not sure I was able to solo any of the final bosses until 61 and was able to make my gear match my level.

It advises loading up in Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode if you're level 51 or above to ensure the level is right. The codes are good until September 7th. There's no indication the Torgue shotgun is legendary (I haven't redeemed yet), but the grenade mod is the Leech and the shield is the Transformer. I started a Siren the other day and got Wilhelm to drop Rolling Thunder. Hopefully I'll have more luck this time; the last time I got an orange grenade mod to drop was when I first killed the Warrior, and shortly after, my Siren got mysteriously deleted from the cloud.

Yea I think I made a mistake too when I took my first character into UVHM in that I was progressing as I would in the normal game, taking quests that were at my level or maybe one level below me. But if you don't want to get stuck for hours on bosses you really have to be at least 2 levels or even 3 above the quest. Or alternatively, which is what I'm now doing with Kreig, is just don't really do any of the quests with big gently caress-off bosses in them until you grind up to 61. The major boss fights is where you get the best loot anyway, and you'll have to repeat them once you get to 61 if you want leveled gear. What are opinions on the Leech grenade mod? I got one for killing Handsome Sorcerer and then a higher level one from the Shift code. Is it really that much better than a transfusion? Is it that big a deal to get health back instantly?

Torgue shotgun was purple on my load (level 50 Zerker in UVHM). Your results may vary. I've yet to find a Leech I like. Kiss of Death is good, and I prefer plain Transfusions to Leech. What's a good gear setup/level to start UVHM? I can barely survive right now on it (I can but it's slow-going and if one thing goes wrong, like if slag fails to affect a guy and he unloads on me I'm usually hosed) but I'm also worried that I'll get to too high of a level for the DLC and high-level gear in TVHM to be fun or even worthwhile. I've got a level 52 gunzerker right now.

Do the Rakkaholics Anonymous quest (hopefully you saved it for level 50) and give the booze to Moxxi so you can get the Rubi pistol. If you want it to be even better, dashboard out of the game if it's not slag. A slag Rubi in the offhand ensures reliable slag, and as a Moxxi weapon it'll heal a percentage of all damage you deal while it's equipped. Stick the Rubi in your offhand, stick your most powerful gun in your mainhand and enjoy your self heals. You can easily grind up some Torgue Tokens and buy an Unkempt Harold.

A level 50 slagga and fire/corrosive conference call got me through UVHM with only a couple problem areas. Jack and the Warrior took forever though so by the end you might want to get some appropriately leveled stuff. Oh and definitely have a shield that matches your level the whole way through.

I haven't played in six months but I'm getting back into it so that I can play through the last two DLCs. I'm bringing a Mechromancer up to the proper level. Anybody have any Mechro heads they can drop for me? GT is MY BROS HOT DAD on 360. I'm on now and will be for a good chunk of the day.

Every character (except Zero  ) is good. I like Maya for multiplayer support more than anything but she's still good solo.

Maya is my main, you'll come to rely on Phaselock a lot. She's viable in both online and solo play, though a bit more towards support online with healing. Depending on how you play, there really isn't a wrong choice, just more of what you like playing. Personally, I can't stand Zer0 and only used him long enough to get the Achievement for him. Doesn't mean that it's a poor decision, just means I dislike his Deception skill. Best advice is to dive in, see what you like and go from there.
