Close up of the Slaver and 2 burnas

Detektuv Jurnal:

I cut the Grabba-stik off and added a hand-axe. The grabba was given a new shaft and attached to his back:

Before:
After:

Themed group for the Burnas.

Backstory:

Grodslab booted the empty shell case, it vanished amongst the towering piles of scrap, clanging and rattling as it went. What kind of Ork used a shoota? Grodslab never understood all the Dakka ladz. Nothing, absolutely nothing beat getting in close and letting rip with a burna.

He felt his finger tense on the trigger of his burna and he found himself staring at Snikklerip in front of him. The temptation to burn him was so powerful that Grodslab was already sweating. Before he could act, there was an explosion of steel and scrap, sending debris tumbling down around them.

With a screeching roar, a massive Squig burst forth. Easily taller than a deffdred, it tore Snikklerip in half before the Boy could react. Already prepared, Grodslab planted his foot and pulled the trigger, not realizing he was laughing maniacally as the flames from his burna detonated the tank of oil attached to Snikklerip's corpse. His laugh grew louder and louder as chunks of seared flesh landed around him. Spitting out the stub of a cigar he turned to the others.

Hi Brock. I can't give you the points for Jurnal unless you can give me some kind of "before" photo. I checked your original Oath photo but it's just pieces of this guy, I really can't tell from looking where you've re-posed him. If you can give me a photo of what the model normally looks like built, and that's clearly different from what you've done, then I can credit the points.

You already did Double the Fun on a previous oath, so that's not in play here - you can only get one point for that all year.

You forgot your name on your oath complete photo which could get you 1 point! Also, your actual oath this month was the 12 marines; you saved da whales for the bike, but it should really be in a separate photo so that the judges only consider the 12 dudes for this month's paint judging. In this case based on your comments I'm assuming you're not really excited about the judging so don't worry about it, but for future reference.

Also I believe your 12 dudes aren't based, so I only gave you points for valid oath (1) and oath complete (5), and credited you for savin' da whales.

Stuff of ledgends was not much help, but here is what a GIS came up with

*to be clear, the above is an image of someone else's minis for reference only*

But I also had 10 complete models I bought NIB forever ago and I was repainting along side the oath to get everything current for an upcoming event:

Left Stock model (wip) / / Right converted model

*And the above minis are mine and I painted them :)*

I picked the same base models as the ones I converted with the Journal, it's not the biggest difference in arm size. I hope this helps and sorry again for the delay.

S'alright, you're good to go now.

EVERYONE

please check the spreadsheet to make sure I properly awarded you all points you deserve and credited you for side-contests, etc. that you earned. There are a lot of people doing a lot of things and I am certain to make the occasional mistake. It will only be caught if you are diligent about checking your own poo poo on the thing. I apologize in advance for sucking.

Also, there are a few points plus or minus still to come from error-fixing, and of course the judges will be handing out their 7 points each for the monthly painting judging, but now is a good moment to stop and look at the Grand Prizes sheet to see where you are in the points! (Once people start Oathing and Sole.Sushi approves their posts, we'll start accumulating points for August and it will no longer be apples-to-apples if you compare people who have oathed to those who haven't yet oathed.) The Grand Prizes sheet orders everyone by their points totals, so you can see your rank. You can also see all your points on the Totals sheet, but in that case it's just in the same order as all other sheets.
