Normally you post an image like this:
code:
[img]http://i.imgur.com/mxb2iBE.jpg[/img]
Instead you can do this:
code:
[timg]http://i.imgur.com/mxb2iBE.jpg[/timg]
The 'timg' tag tells somethingawful.com to render your image in a small box which people can click on to resize it if they want to see it big. The entire full-size image is actually loaded by the browser, though, so this strategy is best with mediumish-biggish pictures. For mega-huge, you can instead grab a thumbnail version from your image host. You're using Imgur: they provide you with a thumbnail version you can use instead. The drawback there is that people have to click the thumbnail, which opens a new tab with the thumnail image in it, and then click again to make it bigger, and then click a third time if they just want the image and not the surrounding Imgur frame. So that's a pain in the rear end for like 12 images in a row, but it's OK for one huge image that maybe only Sole.Sushi and I need to click on.

It's up to you how to manage this, you can just resize your image to something reasonable too.

I'll repost this a couple more times this month just to remind people:

:siren: GOON PRIZE ALERT! :siren:

Kind goon Vondizimo has donated THIS:

Do you want to win it? This is a limited edition Games Day 2012 Blood Angels Captain that can only be found on auction sites now, but Vondizimo has offered this prize for anyone who oaths and completes a Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 model during the month of August.

To be eligible to win, all you have to do is oath a 40K model as normal, and complete it before the end of the month. At the beginning of September, everyone who is eligible to win (that is, if you've completed a 40K model) will be able to vote on the best completed model! That's it!

Of course, this opens up the floodgates for anyone to donate their own model for other game systems! Infinity is an obvious one (but we already have many prizes from Corvus Belli), Warmachine is another one, and of course there are other games I don't want to leave out but can't mention for lack of space. They don't have to be limited editions or expensive, but we would like to offer hard-to-find models if possible. We don't want to be picky, but if you have a sprue of Imperial Guard or Marines, that would be a better choice for the Grab Bag prizes, which we'd be happy to take. However, if you have something out-of-print, hard to find, expensive or in some way valuable, drop me an email! krushgroove169 (at) gmail (just because it's easier to keep track of conversations in gmail rather than in PMs)

A blister pack selected from the box sent to us from Corvus Belli goes to: bhsman!

A pack of Springer-Pinsel Kolinksy Sable Brushes goes to: enri!

FOUR sets of Games 'n' Gears double-ended brushes go to: JesusIsTehCool, Chance II, Namenlos, and Weirdo!
HOWEVER, Chance II and Namenlos both won this exact prize in May, so they're unfortunately ineligible. So I rerolled for two: IrvingWashington and Derlix!

An item chosen from several lots of game stuff from The Troll Trader goes to: JesusIsTehCool! Uh oh he already won a prize this month! JesusIsTehCool will get to pick which prize he wants, and I will reroll for the other!

An item from the Detektuv's Grab Bag goes to: Germ!

Quarterly prizes:

MiniWarGaming sends one starter set for their Dark Potential futuristic post-apocalyptic skirmish game to: Avenger_Mullah!

A starter set selected from the box sent to us from Corvus Belli goes to: Indolent Bastard!

Goon (and judge) Bachtere will paint one human-sized 28mm figure for: Slimnoid!

Goon krushgroove will make a custom piece of terrain for: Achmed Jones!

Goon Manifest will select his favorite conversion from the last three months and award that goon a prize! Manifest, please get in touch with me if you need help identifying all of the converted models. I tracked it all in the spreadsheets so I can provide this for your insane amount of work you have to do convenience.

--------
All prize winners should contact krushgroove to provide shipping info and picks where needed, except for bhsman and Indolent Bastard, who should contact me! JesusIsTehCool, you have to pick between the double-ended brushes and the Troll Trader prize: whichever you don't pick, I'll reroll.

As a reminder, the rules for winning prizes are posted in the OPs; generally, you can't win the same prize category more than once, and you can't win more than one prize in a given month or quarter draw.

All of the dice rolls are on Orokos: you can review them all here. The index numbers for these rolls are on the monthly spreadsheets. If I hosed something up, please let me know right away!

Also, in the interests of full disclosure: nathonicus never received his corvus belli prize that I mailed last month. I used the cheapest possible shipping option, which didn't include tracking, and USPS has swallowed the figures whole. We have worked out a solution and he is getting a replacement prize. This month I will ship using some means that includes tracking, although obviously that will cost more. nathonicus has been super-cool about the whole thing and was all 'naw you don't gotta send me a replacement' but we have kind of insisted. So yeah that happened.

Congratulations to the winners!

That'd be an unpainted display board. Let me know if I need to oath it official!

Regarding the G&G brushes, I backed them on Kickstarter. They weren't so hot and split and such, which was disappointing. I contacted G&G and they sent me a whole new set, free of charge. The replacement brushes are much better. While they're still not quite as nice as my W&N Series 7, they are definitely good brushes. I paid $40 for 8 brushes, all in different sizes and that would have been a good deal for the single set (of good build quality). Considering that I ended up with two sets - one that's no so great but is perfect for drybrushing and one that's just dandy - I really feel like I made out like a bandit.

I also think that if I hadn't been gifted a couple W&N brushes for Christmas, I'd be much more appreciative of the G&G brushes. They're straight-up rad brushes! They're only slightly less-awesome than what pretty much everyone considers the Cadillac of manspainting brushes, so if you're painting with crummy brushes the upgrade would definitely be worth it and noticeable.

Regarding winning sweet terrain, hot dog! I'll PM email you after I've had a good think, krushgroove! Thanks!
