They won't get booted per se, just moved to Clear Channel owned stations where available. They bought a station in NY for next to nothing anticipating Cumulus replacing them with their own shows but in places like Chicago and Philly the real test is going to be if they're willing to blow up an actual billing station to park their Premiere radio goodies. Cumulus isn't having much luck doing that, but maybe Clear Channel is willing to give it a go.

I wouldn't 100% rule out Hannity on at 6PM since it's easy enough to prerecord an hour of interviews and junk (I've seen him do it) but drat Fox has to be in a tough spot if Ailes is going to banish as big of a GOP shill as Hannity to the weekend gulag. Kinda sad that a guy that's made a career in 2 mediums holding on to the audience of the guy before him is now 0 for 2.

That'd be a hell of a risky move, though, prerecording everything for an important slot going in to prime time like that. People are still going to be wanting fresh news and commentary on the events of the day, not a bunch of prepackaged stuff, especially if something big were to happen. You can get away with segments of that stuff, but not a full hour aside from late night or weekends.

It seems like the only time these hawks can show Iran leaders saying something crazy is when they translate it weird (like that Israel must be wiped off the map thing a while back). Ahmadinejad & co. say PLENTY of crazy poo poo in public, the problem is right wing types agree with a lot of it so they can't put that in a scary video.

For example: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/24/mahmoud-ahmadinejad-homosexuality-gay-rights_n_1909548.html

quote:

Through a translator, Morgan asked Ahmadinejad about what he'd do if one of his children told him he or she was gay. Ahmadinejad fired back, "Do you believe that someone is born homosexual? Homosexuality ceases procreation."

The conversation grew increasingly tense before Ahmadinejad ( who also denounced the controversial film "Innocence of Muslims") even compared LGBT lifestyles to thievery. "Perhaps in a country, they wish to legitimize stealing...if a group recognizes an ugly behavior or ugly deed as legitimate, you must not expect other countries or other groups to give it recognition," he noted.

Ahmadinejad's views aren't particularly surprising, given that homosexuality is a crime punishable by imprisonment and, in more extreme cases, execution in Iran. In May, four Iranian gay men were reportedly executed for sodomy under their nation's Shari'a laws.

Bigoted religious crazies of our country are merely the coca-cola to the pepsi of the middle east bigoted religious crazies. One need only look at the evangelicals who pushed for and are praising the Uganda 'kill the gays' bill to note that.

There was an interview of people from the jury and they basically said they were convinced he was guilty until the cop who wanted to book Zimmerman replied that if he had to say Zimmerman was telling the truth or was a psychological liar, he'd have to say that Zimmerman was telling the truth. And that if the cop who wanted to book him clearly believed in him, then he must be justified. And that is why they changed their votes.

EDIT: What I'm saying is, it can be dumbest thing that can sway cases, rather then the obvious blunders.

They "believe" in Christianity as much as is necessary to feel like they have the moral high ground.

And people like that typically think all aid for the needy should come from private donations, like through a church, which conveniently tends to go to members of the direct community (i.e. people like the ones attending the church) and not nebulous others that don't deserve help because racism they are lazy.

Can't post for 5 hours!
Cain had a caller on today for a few minutes and it summed up perfectly the way right wing media propogates ideas without substance. The caller said that "what Obama is doing it the instituting communism". Cain then agreed and blamed the media for not covering it. No examples were given on either end about what was "communist" about Obama. It's just assumed at this point.

It's delivered from the talk radio types, absorbed and repeatedly digested by the listeners and then echoed back by the callers with no specific examples and certainly with no rebuttal. The caller even cited over-taxation, but taxes are the lowest they've been in 50 or 60 years. "Obama is a communist" but no one knows why or how.

The caller mentioned the possibility of impeachment for "the things Obama has done" and Cain, while admitting to not being an expert on the matter and again citing no specific examples of what Obama could be impeached for, said that "some lawyers and people I speak to think he should or could be impeached" and then when on to say it won't happen because the Democrats hold the Senate.

My point is that this 5 minutes I listened to was a microcosm of an echo chamber that just repeats words like "Communist", "Socialist", "taxes" and "impeachment" with absolutely loving nothing of any god damned substance to back up anything they say or any opinion they offer.

I wanted to call and ask "What is communism? What is Socialism? What is impeachment? And what has Obama done that warrants impeachment or is any way communist or socialist?" They just repeat these words as a matter of accepted fact.

That kind of thing doesn't even make me angry anymore now that we know the leash is off. That kind of base level talking and thinking and the wide implication that no matter how outlandishly wrong you are...you're secrectly right! used to just be for the audience and the base. It was something fun to play with to make sure no one realized all they were doing was carrying water for heavily moneyed interests on behalf of a cabal of leadership who had an entirely different set of stupid ideas, but who at least had the power and influence to keep this whole crazy she-bang together and pointed in the right direction.

Flashforward through the Bush presidency (Massive crash of the economy on the GOP's watch, the complete loss of credibility on defense, 9/11 and the PATRIOT ACT, basically at least some major introspection on what the GOP is by even the least informed voter who isn't hardcore Republican) and 5 years of Obama (re: hysterical flailing) and what is that machine now?

The Base: It's the same group as always but in a rush to find a handhold in the aftermath of 2008 someone handed them money, a fleet of busses a TV Channel, and a sense that they didn't lose an election, it was stolen. It's one that buys it's own bullshit and is too scared to do otherwise, so much so that you're rewarded for the more outlandish and wild your beliefs are. It's one that sends walking talking time-bombs filled with decades of GOP kool-aid into office demanding that every crazy thing they got elected on be treated as importantly as they've been told it is.

The country at large: They seemed to have convinced enough of their base that nothing bad actually happened under GWB and that anything Obama does is evil...but it doesn't look like anyone else is buying it, and it doesn't exactly help their cause for people up to and including elected officials publically pretending that everyone is secretly clamoring for the return of the Cheney's and Rumsfelds of the world. To the point that their candidate for president had JOHN loving BOLTON running point on his foreign policy. Meanwhile, demographic winter while the GOP angrily argues whether it should pull it's arm or it's face out of the woodchipper first. The House is a massive national advertisement for what they're about now and even the most recalcitrant of news sources are having a hard time not calling it what it is.

The Money: Still plenty of money but after two different poo poo-show national campaigns, a lot of state levels that produced some epically bad headlines and the STARTLING revalation that any tea party group capable of putting together a press release that doesn't include a racial epithet is a sham grifting operation...it's flowing to an increasingly small number of places that are capable of making good with it and an increasingly large number of unproven more-conservative-than-thou versions of the old thinktanks and committees.

The Leadership: See recent votes on anything other than defunding Obamacare. Boehner came within a dick hair of a coup taking him out. Mitch McConnell has a campaign manager who is on a phone recording talking about how much he sucks and he's out kissing the campaign managers rear end because he's in with Rand Paul and the crazy faction and if he did anything about HIS OWN CAMPAIGN MANAGER calling him poo poo he might end up with enough people calling him a RINO that Rush will take up the call.

Now I'm not saying talk radio and their base playing word tennis with COMMUNISM caused all that but I would argue that the laziness and unseriousness that is attached to the character and soul of their party causes both. They can have the old white codger in Utah who can't explain what part of Obamacare he doesn't like. I'll take the gay black kid with the science degree who knows exactly why he votes for Democrats and can explain why.

Little nitpick but ignoring the coup planners being retarded he wasn't that close to losing. Because while Peter King and other north Eastern republicans were making angry noises they knew that if boehner was removed whatever tea party loon replaced him wasn't going to give them the sandy aid. And unsurprisingly after being reconfirmed, boehner shoved the aid bill through by revoking the Hastart rule for it.
