You stated they "do not have to worry about anything ever"; this simply isn't true. The only people that don't worry are Quakers and Buddha. The ad clearly states 8 screens! But the car only has 7 screens. Clearly this is a car for poor people who worry. Rich people have eight screens, exaclty the number at which worry is removed. http://collegestation.craigslist.org/cto/3904398269.html

Feel my pain. My car _requires_ 91 and has no knock sensor. All I can find in this area is 93. So I either have to mix octanes like a chump (pumps take forever to reset) or blow the extra cash on 2 more points of octane.

Mine takes premium, and I average about 20-21 mpg. It's kind of annoying, but totally worth it. Honestly I hate stations with 91, because I see the price on the sign and think "Oh, that's a good deal" then pull up to the pump and realize my mistake. Like revmoo not many stations around here carry 91 so it always catches me by surprise. That said, what is the point of plus? I don't know of any cars that require 89 octane.

For me it's just $0.20 more per gallon, my car has a ~15 gallon tank, so that's all of $3 more per tank of gas.

In comparison, going to a civic would save me 1200 per year in gas.

Go for it. Its priced decently and if the interior is good... why not. Make sure the head gaskets and cooling system are good. Otherwise the running gear is pretty solid. Between Motronic, CSB and myself we can get you pointed in the right direction. If you need the rave manual once you purchase it, I can help you out.

Having owned one of those little... gems... for a few years (as my first car, no less), no, you don't want it. It's really nothing special - the carb'd engine is merely sufficient for the car, with the 5 speed you might be able to get it to 140km/h on a looooong flat straight, and while the gas mileage might be decent, it has less structural integrity than a geo.
