Of course, but that's a LOT of free space. I recently went on an app purge with my iPad and I still couldn't get any more than 1.9GB.

Aatrek posted:Is it worth upgrading my iPad 2 to iOS 7? I'm seeing worse battery life (which is "sperging out" apparently). All of the animations were choppy at first, some smoothed out once it finished indexing or something, but many did not. I would have just kept it on iOS6 had I known, but iOS7 isn't a deal breaker. And assuming new apps that take advantage of iOS7 don't have performance issues with iPad 2 hardware, it's probably the right decision considering Apple's ecosystem. It's fine.

My biggest problem on my iPad 3 is that changing wallpapers somehow slows the entire thing to an unresponsive crawl.

Every time I get to about 500 pics I upload them to a computer then delete them all. I run phone clean etc and just have space. Different strokes. Just got back from a trip so I'm going to delete those photos soon.

Do you mean the act of changing the wallpaper is slow, and it goes back to normal after the change? Or that changing from the default makes it slow forever?

I hope Apple doesn't put one out. Apparently gold is actually an easier color to produce than black, but it's stretching the boundaries of taste on the iPhone 5s, never mind something as big as an iPad. Plus Apple is having a hard enough time getting anything but "space gray" iPhones in stores...

If anyone else ever had a wacky idea about using electricity to simulate a finger to create a fine tip stylus but didn't have the actual know how to do it, good news! People smarter than us had the same idea and actually made stuff! There was a Kickstarter with the concept a while ago but I didn't like the execution (worked, but looked overly fat still), but it looks like Adonit has been working on one too: https://www.evernote.com/market/feature/stylus?sku=STYL001001 They've been working with Adobe for their stylus project as well, which has also been shown with a tiny tip, so things are looking up for once.

I saw that happen on my AT&T iPad 2, figured I'd just accidentally clicked the wrong thing.

You know what annoys me most about iOS7? The fact that you can't really scale your wallpapers. Such a small detail but it renders my favorite wallpapers useless as it automatically zooms way the gently caress in and won't let you scale back. Can't use my favorite Blackhawks logo or half my vacation pictures.

Apple may decide they need the improved GPU from the A7 to drive the Retina display, making it cheaper to produce than shoehorning an X chip in.

I figured the Mini would get like an A6X chip or something. If the Mini skipped a generation, Apple probably got a huge rear end discount on ordering A7's - the Ipad5, the 5S and possibly the mini (Oh and the iWatch ) would be using it. That's millions and millions of A7 chips. Wonder what's with this push for 64-bit all of a sudden.
