An Mi-8/17 managed to not get shredded by MANPADS (as far as we can tell from the video), so the engine manufacturer made a really classy advertisement out of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCVN1cABeFk

This might be one of the few threads in existence I would actually find interesting enough to read through 200 pages. Did it over the last few weeks or so whenever I had to kill time. Had a bunch of questions/comments too but I sure as hell wasn't going to quote 60 pages back. Anyways, question about those new USN Bechtel reactors if the information is out there: What makes them so much more powerful? Is it a new reactor design or just higher energy density? And why don't they need the lifespan cut-out like previous reactors? My knowledge is pretty limited of the science but I enjoyed the hell out of what I understood in the previous discussions.

Growler is okay I suppose (-G + Prowler) but the idea of having a penetrating attack led by Shockers is just too great.

Now you've got me thinking of some scenario involving Intruders penetrating North Korean airspace whilst Shockers try to jam the defences. It all comes to naught since Fagots lack the equipment to be jammed by Shockers.

Also I like the idea that even if North Korea was a 50x50 mile square you can apparently not fly a plane outside of that box of air to extend your engagement distance. But really that whole piece if amazing.
