At the end of #21.

It's in the short story. Fort Max decides to stay and guard Luna 1 with Red Alert when the Lost Light leaves.

And Ultra Magnus made him the new duly appointed enforcer of the Tyrest Accord.
What it basically comes down to is that the prose part at the end of 21 came from Roberts being a bit off on pacing (I believe this is his first professional gig) and not wanting to leave the epilogue undone for the better part of a year. Issue 22 had to be done around the same time as issue 5 because it's the Skids pack-in and Dark Cybertron was locked in. Another slightly related fun fact: the solicits are written are written and locked in months before the books are even scripted.

Besides, you should read the prose stories that get added in occasionally because Roberts is better at prose than scripts anyways.

While I have a soft spot for him (first Lambo I ever got!), I don't think Red Alert could ever really be called a 'big character'. He's pretty D-list, maybe C if you're feeling generous.

Most main characters in mtmte and lsotw are not a/b list until john made them into something interesting. Like ironfist or tailgate.
Red Alert didn't do all that much in mtmte itself, though.

There's always the possibility Luna 1 will be revisited. Fortress Maximus is fairly high profile and I'm hoping his current form gets a Generations figure.

There's actually a lot of lost light members are characters who have never done much interesting in IDW but have been some of my personal favorites (every tf fan has those I guess) like Hound (his wanting to be human schtick has always been criminally underused), Cosmos, Gears (he used to hang out with spiderman, that has to count for something), Blaster (I'd like to see his marvel storylines and character retreaded), and Grapple (all he wants is to build, so what has he been getting up to on the lost light).

Also, there actually was a conspiracy he wasn't supposed to know about the he stumbled into. He may be paranoid, but that doesn't mean that someone wasn't out to get him. Was it really a suicide, or was Hot Rod trying to HIDE THE TRUTH?! :tinfoil:

MTMTE #23 then.

Feels off in parts but The Lost Light remains a beacon amid it all. The bar scene was great (though I will never get used to Prime taking the faceplate off), and Whirl's little moment was pretty much classic Whirl.

I don't really know much about Hardhead other than I don't like him very much and he better back off giving Cyclonus poo poo all the time. Speaking of whom, that bout of retching didn't look too good :ohdear:

Didn't like Jazz so obviously antagonising Starscream, I figured if he were staying around he'd be more subtle and perhaps working an angle to keep an eye on him whereas going by this, he doesn't appear to be doing much more than working as a prison guard. Also found Nova to be a somewhat comically stereotype of ANGRY EVIL OVERLORD, like a half-arsed panto performance. And I literally couldn't give a gently caress about Prowl and Bumblebee and whatever they're up to, though if the Constructicons are hanging out with Prowl now, I guess the next issue is going to be interesting.

Anyone know who the Xarron-looking guy in the Dead Universe was? Just I was pretty sure Xarron himself is just a regular crewmate on TLL...

I only looked at October, but there are numbers for physical copies: MTMTE 22 sold 9248, RID 21 sold 9220, so MTMTE is barely winning there with a difference of 28 copies. Comics with more sales include Sonic the hedgehog (10982) , MLP (23686 and IDW's highest seller) and the top seller was Walking Dead (310584) followed by Batman (124652).

:siren: There are THREE days left to sign up for the Transformers Megathread Secret Santa! :siren:

So if you were thinking about signing up, now is the time!

If you're new to this Secret Santa malarkey, we all throw our names into my hat, receive a random name, and send that person a lovely gift of Transformers goodies, toys, candy, maybe some booze, and all around a big ol' ball of holiday cheer! It's fun, trust me. No really.

SIGNING UP:

1) Send an email to :siren: doctorwhosecretsanta [at] gmail [dot] com :siren: In the subject, please include the tag [TFSS] as I am running another Secret Santa (the Doctor Who one, duh) and don’t want to confuse the two.

Your email should include everything you think your Santa might need to know:

• Your forums name (linked to your profile)
• Your actual name & address, including postal/zip code.
• Whether or not you are willing to ship internationally (a big help, given the international nature of the internet).
• Tell your Santa a little about yourself, to get an idea of what kind of gift you might like. Your TF-related interests, what you like to read, your favourite video games, unique hobbies, clothing size if you'd like t-shirts or something like that, etc.

2) Post in this thread! Tell us what kinds of stuff you're into! Once Santas are assigned, we're all going to be trying to figure each other out, so some healthy conversation will help things go smoothly.

3) DEADLINE: The deadline for sign-ups is Saturday, November 23rd! #SAVETHEDAY Assignments should go out shortly thereafter.

4) BUDGET: Somewhere in the $20-$30 (£15-20) range (before shipping). You're welcome to spend more, but that's no guarantee you'll get that much in return. Gag gifts are cool, but please include some kind of actual gift.

5) COLLEGE STUDENTS: Remember that these gifts will likely go out around the holiday break, so be mindful of which address you give me. If you have any concerns about packages being stolen from your doorstep, use the address of your work/friend/parents, just so long as it's cool with them.

4) INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: If you sign up for this, you are agreeing to the possibility of getting an international address. The USPS international price calculator can be found here.

5) SHIPPING DEADLINES:
• International - Friday December 13th (This is the UK to US last shipping date, so I'd imagine the same is true vice versa)
• Within the same country - Wednesday December 18th

6) WHEN YOUR GIFT ARRIVES: Show us your loot! You can wait until Christmas morning if you want, but still, show us all the awesome goodies Santa brought you.

7) LATE PACKAGES: If you haven't received your gift by January 1st, let me know so I can look into it. If you haven't SENT your gift by December 18th, let me know so I can contact your recipient.

8) DON'T BE A DEADBEAT: If you sign up, please get your person something. Nobody likes a deadbeat santa.

9) FINALLY: A Merry Christmas to all of you at home!
