kiimo posted:Hiccup is growing up, check that stubble. I have never seen the first one, but the loving detail and confidence in the viewer makes me retroactively interested. Lots of sequel posters just rely on showing the characters you already know and love, but this shows a character I know was a kid in the first one as a teen or young man in this one, which lets us know there's actual growth and possibly even a real reason for a sequel here. The two characters just look confidently at something in the distance together, but it tells us a lot about who the characters are and their obvious bond. So yeah, it's a simple poster but it's really well done.

The best way to describe it is delightful. Thoroughly enjoyed it and it is better than Pixar's latest stuff. It blows the doors off Monsters University, for example. It will also explain why this is a great teaser because in the first one he was just a kid making haphazard equipment trying to fly a wild dragon. He's clearly come a long way as has Toothless. (The night fury dragon) Teaser if anyone is interested. I geeked out like a 12 year-old. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68AqHwgk2s8 kiimo fucked around with this message at 22:51 on Nov 22, 2013 |
