Got it on the lift today; No loose ball joints. Pretty much the entire suspension and half the engine bay is new or redone.

He actually got a fractured tibia but it's still pretty amazing, I am happy the improvements car safety has made.

Also you can bring a car over on a temporary basis if your posting in the U.S. is less than a year.

There's a bunch of British military people at Nellis and Edwards. I assume they're able to import their cars just like ours can import to Europe.

If it's a real CSL then that's from the factory as a homologation piece, I guess the plan was to try and condition the airflow going down the back window onto the wing that was there on the racing version.

It could be a shortened Commanche or a greatly reworked Cherokee. I can't tell. There's also no guarantee that it's a Jeep like the other two trucks in that picture.

It is a chopped up 4 door cherokee. People in the offroad world do that a lot, with levels of bodywork quality from "loving hackjob deathtrap" to the point where random strangers walk up and remark that they didn't know an SUT edition of the cherokee was ever made.

It's a Scammell Pioneer, a pre-WW2 design that would eventually develop into the awesome 6x6 Explorer. Big, hefty bastard designed for towing whatever you had wherever you needed it.

Yep, and they have a walking beam setup for the rear wheels. They articulate over rough ground amazingly well, while still having very heavy springs.
