I hope as a Floran I can make everything because I can't be any other race, it's too much fun to play the real theme of our people and just make comments about murdering and/or eating everyone.

I've been playing some multiplayer with a friend. This is our base. I found an outhouse in an underground Glitch mine, so in true goon fashion we put some poo blocks under it that I found in a sewer. edit: I fixed the poop because it wasn't realistic enough. VV I don't think so, as far as I know it's purely cosmetic. I think it has to do with light level and biome. Smoremaster fucked around with this message at 05:13 on Dec 6, 2013 |

So wait, you guys are listing coordinates to planets, but when I check celestial.config there is a Sector Seed designated to the generation. Aren't seeds usually the thing that determines random generation? How does this even work

It's essentially like having infinite Minecraft maps available that everyone can share throughout each others universes. You may have generated a completely different universe from your friend, but you can share planets between them with no problems. It "finds" the coordinates and generates the planet associated with them.

I dug aaaallll the way down to the very bottom of an absolutely enormous TL29 desert planet And I'm still finding nothing but Iron and Copper and Coal The highest ore I found on the entire way down was a deposit of 3 gold, and 17 silver ore. Where the hell are you guys finding Platinum/Titanium? That diamond pickaxe was full durability when I started digging down, by the way Also, I found a pretty major bug that I'm sure a few others have found as well. When you get to the Lava layer, foreground tiles stop spawning, every block is filled with lava, but ore can still spawn. If you place, for example, a dirt block in the lava, any ore in that tile will then be found inside the dirt block. You can use this to tunnel through the lava - so you could go straight through huge deposits of ore digging through only dirt or mud or other weak substances. Wasn't very effective in my experience but if you looked around enough you would probably have some luck. e: I assume this same strategy would work for building underwater structures too; it clears liquids when you dig up whatever you placed; though I doubt there's ore underwater. deep dish peat moss fucked around with this message at 05:41 on Dec 6, 2013 |
