Wow, christmas came early in the form of Mark Levin's two segment set with Glenn Beck on his show tonight. It was a conservative dream come true. They kicked off the segment lamenting how evil progressives have tried to rewrite our glorious American history and how the Robber Barons of the Gilded Age were just truly great men who had been slimed by the same evil progressives. This of course led right into the true reason Beck was on the show; to hawk his new book, "Miracles and Massacres", something about the untold heroic stories of American history. After reflecting on how they needed to teach all the little children how to stand up to evil progressives like Van Jones, Beck shared some of the marvelous stories from his book and then they jerked each other off while proclaiming how much they admired each other and their ideas. Beck then stated his disgust and hatred for Boehner and McConnell and all other RINOs saying that they were worse than progressives because they claimed to be conservatives but were really just progressives in disguise. What a wonderful show. Have I missed the memo somewhere? When did "progressive" replace "liberal" as the new slur?

I still have no idea why Greg Gutfield is so Anti-University/College. He'll literally go on the air to "The Five", and use it as an excuse to trash Millenials/College Student than proceed to show them as pot smoking leftists who work at Starbucks and rock Che Guerva t-shirts. http://video.foxnews.com/v/2916210856001/the-five-marcus-luttrell-the-lone-survivor/ at 4:47 "And not to appease the ACADEMICS CRITICS OF THE WORLD" "Here's my point..why is it that Education on campus is viewed as superior as an education in the millitary? If you listen to that man it seems he's gained more wisdom and knowledge in his time and service. Than a HUNDRED Ivy League graduates." ... Look, I admire this solider. He did an incredible thing, and survived an incredible thing. But to use it as an excuse to attack the average college student is loving nuts. Not to mention that Gutfield went to CAL loving BERKLEY of all places, and never served a second of combat in his loving life. Also, who the hell are these people being about College Education over Military Service? Hell, I have classmates who did MILLITARY SERVICE so they could go to college in the first place. Did Greg get picked on for being a libetarian dweeb or something? Jesus.

I got to listen to a little bit of Hannity today also and he had a guy on that's a regular on his show, I think his name is Jamie Dupree but not sure. Dupree always seems like a middle of the road, but leans conservative type of D.C. journalist. Anyway, Hannity was arguing that Boehner has to know that this stuff might mean the end of his Speakership and maybe even the end of his career and Dupree was saying not at all; in fact the word in Washington was that Behner wouldn't be doing this unless he knew that he could kick these guys in the nuts and walk away without a scratch on him, and a big part of it was because the rank and file in the House really trusted Ryan. Go figure.

Dupree is correct about the rank-and-file in the House trusting Ryan. That's Ryan's biggest strength and why he remains budget chairman despite a total lack of ability at creating workable budgets. But for all the sturm und drang around Boehner's statements yesterday and today remember that he's in a much stronger position now than he was at the collapse of the shutdown, and even then Tea Partiers like Raul Labrador were saying they supported Boehner totally. Heritage and its ilk are a strong voice in the conservative movement, but they're not the only voice and they're far from the only source of funding. There were rumors that Boehner was going to bow out and retire in 2014. I believe the Ohio filing deadline is in February, so watch for him to make a move after the holiday break. My guess is still that he's going to stick around.

It makes sense since Conservatives are all about confidence games (a culture going from Washington all the way down to the MLMs and Used Car Lots on Main Street) - Ryan is the young, true believer numbers guy. Look at all the numbers. It all adds up. We need to voucherize everything. When John Boehner rides off into the sunset I guess we can count on Speaker Ryan? A fully polarized and anthropomorphized government in crisis - Ryan will be out for revenge from that VP debate.

Politifact is the smug kid in class who says "BUT TECHNICALLY I'm right" all the time. Like, yea, it was a lie, but in the context of political lies 'AHA this motherfucker said we could keep plans we like BUT I LIKED THIS SCAM PLAN WHAT NOW OBUMMER' is hardly anything. It's the same way that TECHNICALLY 'Republicans will destroy medicare' was a lie because whatever half dead corpse Republicans would have left behind would still be called medicare. edit: Also reminder that 'congress is exempt' was the lie Ted and his boys used to hold up every single government shutdown debate so yea that was a pretty huge lie, but if they picked that one they'd be called commie lib lovers, whereas no democrat will call them out on this bullshit, so it's obvious what they pick.
