~Coxy posted:what do you do on say a weekend if you and your SO want to go to different places Public transportation isn't bad around here and one of us can get to where we want to go via bus or train, or on foot (we live in a really dense neighborhood with a lot going on), so that's not a thing that's ever happened or been a problem. Having another car because you might want to go somewhere else that the train won't get you to on the weekend just sounds ridiculous. $500+ a month, all said and done, for something you might only need two or three times a month is wasteful. I'd imagine that you don't like using the train when you aren't going to work and that's all well and good but if you count up the times you truly need two cars it's a lot less often than you think.

Also, the sense I get from your post is that if your city had adequate parking, you would drive in to work. That just sounds silly. I live three blocks from a train station and that main train line will take me anywhere I need to be, and most of the places I want to be. There's a train there every twelve minutes during the day, and every half hour at night. That and my feet are far more convenient options than sitting in traffic ever will be. The sense I get from a lot of people is that taking public transportation is for poor people or children, and that you need to drive everywhere in order to be an "adult." That's a ridiculous way to look at things.

one of my most favorite parts of that whole debacle is that its all generic mass produced ingredients hes just slapping together and trying to pass of as bespoke handmade hot dogs i mean if he was even trying to make his own condiments (which isnt loving hard guys) id say ok, at least hes trying. nope. hes just getting thousand and thousands of dollars to open up a bachelor kitchen

(the weekends) i kept two cars despite having a train commute for a while, but when i did the numbers it was stupid. i was mostly keeping the second car just so i could have MY CAR. it was a weird ego thing i think i put 10 miles on MY CAR the last year i owned it. i had to ask my wife to drive it to work occasionally just to stop it from rotting out in its parking spot

My neighbor has three cars for two people and parks them all on the street even though he has a parking pad out back for gently caress's sake.

I was serious, she wants a hatchback for more space. I'm thinking that we'd probably get hosed over and pay too much if we did that but I wanted to ask someone who might know better.

What I'm asking here isn't necessarily what we're buying, but the easiest way to get something else with a year or two left on the current loan. I'm sure there'd be a loving involved somewhere but she wants to know and she likes the people at her dealership and I'm not going to dictate to her where and what she buys unless it's an obvious and real loving.

if you buy, and have a trade-in, you negotiate:
if you buy, and have a trade-in, and you want to roll up into a new loan:
if you lease:
