A friend of mine went to Argentina for vacation a few years ago. She plays soccer, but doesn't follow the professional leagues. She decided that watching a match at La Bombonera was an experience she couldn't miss. Somehow they got seats on a tier directly below the visiting supporters. During the entire match, no one sat down, the songs never stopped, and a steady flow of objects (both liquid and solid) fell from above. After the match, they were not allowed to leave for 45 minutes in order to make sure the visiting fans had completely evacuated. She said those fans apparently urinated on every surface of the exit tunnel as they left. I mention it now because she told me, "There was one Boca player, Number 10--every single time he touched the ball the already noisy crowd just erupted with cheers."

Riqueme is hated by all of Argentina sans boca fans because he's a "pecho frio", always playing like poo poo for the national time. Hence the name "Tristelme", the sad one.

They just hate him because he doesn't play for their team. He played pretty well for the national time, when he wasn't being a primadonna and retired from international football because he didn't like what the press or Maradona or whatever said about him. When he wants to play and is in good physical shape he's unstoppable, but only manage to play one every 5 o 6 games.

He was amazing at the Beijing Olympics even if he was beating up on a bunch of U23s with Messi and Di Maria.

He was amazing during the 2007 Copa America too, thing is the whole Argentinian team shat their pants once they saw they were playing Brazil in the final.

I remember him single handedly loving up Brazil but I have no idea what competition the game was played in.

https://vine.co/v/h3bpqI9VhgA Roger Johnson gives a lesson in how not to defend. Falling in a heap on the floor in front of Toure would have been more effective...
