I wasn't crazy about the C7 looks, but the Z06 seems properly nice to look at. How many hours before I'm concerned and should call a doctor?

I hear that no matter what CD is in the dash or what you've got playing on your smartphone that only 'Reign in Blood' by Slayer plays at full volume.

I dunno, not bad, not great. I've been watching Le Mans vids on youtube a lot lately though, and the GT Vettes they have are growing on me. I like how they sound different than all the other cars. Cross-plane when everyone else is flat-plane I assume?

I suspect it's more than they're 2v and have an assload more cubic capacity/

The racing Corvettes are awesome, and this looks like one. That 7.0L LS7-R powered C6.R is going to be the loudest thing in the race. Same with the Cadillac CTS-V.R, it can drown out the noise from the cars around it.

I was watching a replay of the '13 race at Road America. One of the vettes spun out into the grass, and when they recovered, I SWEAR the front wheel reversed direction and threw sand. These things aren't AWD are they? I could swear it's RWD, but the wheel straight up reversed direction and ejected matter, not like it was friction rolling. If i knew how i'd capture it from the ESPN/Cox stream.

# ? Jan 12, 2014 16:48 |

I'm pretty sure they're RWD. Maybe a little wagon wheel effect combined with sand being thrown from the rear?

And of course the race is out of the ESPN3 replay list, and changed to Circuit of the Americas/Austin. It was literally spinning backwards, then spun out in the forward direction like it was powered. So very very confusing.

Closest I've ever been to a sports car race was watching them at Long Beach in 2012; the Patron Ferraris were the only cars all weekend that had us wincing even with hearing protection on. Those fuckers were loud.
