Yeah, I'd be happier if they brought along some less goofy headliners. Say, Einherjer or Thyrfing.

Been listening to this album recently: Orvam:a song for home - Need. If you are a fan of darker, heavier, straight up progressive metal, you should give them a try.

That Paganfest lineup is basically everything I want in a folk metal show. Dumb goofy poo poo out the rear end and a crowd full of people who probably should be ashamed but are having too much fun to be.

Korpiklaani is fun but yeah, I'd love to see Primordial or Tyr on there. I guess Eluviete is too big now? (in stature or in number of band members? ) Or Skyclad but that'll never happen.

Speaking of, goddamnit, why are Tyr going on tour with a really popular band? I'm used to paying $20 or less for club shows. Tickets for their show nearest me are, like, mid-fifties, excluding fees.

I would pay quite a bit for a show that was just Primordial. I had tickets to that loving tour of Paganfest too, but I bought them before I knew I had a 9am exam the next day so I missed it, and I am still pissed at myself for not going. Didn't know Eluveite was dropping members, hopefully they can find someone among the 4 hurdy-gurdy players left on earth to move on.

I dunno, maybe the new people will help instead of hurt this time around.

Listen to Nocturnus or Crystal Age (the latter samples Star Wars, hell yes) vv Yeah Vektor are also real good. Not quite as enjoyable of a listen as Voivod but they're good fun. I prefer Outer Isolation due to better drum tone and fewer tracks that seem to drag on forever. Gamma Nerd fucked around with this message at 02:10 on Jan 20, 2014 |

Keldian, amazing power metal/AOR with some kind of sci-fi theme but damned if I know what it is. So good though; it reminds me of when Lost Horizon came along and plowed right over everything. Power metal is my least favored subgenre but when something like this pops up, I have no choice. Every song on their 2013 album, Outbound, is the kind of song you want to replay immediately. Til they get a distro deal they're not so good with the whole "physical CD" thing, however. You can go to their FB and get their music. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Keldian/133028643515879
