HG Exia always looked disproportionate so that doesn't help either. If that backback can have it's wings fold out like a giant Deathscyte Hell Custom-esque look it would look a lot better already.

Miss Sazabi's weapon makes it look more like a rapier for some reason. If its not Baker's or gal from the top 16 I'm going to assume its China's rivals just so we get to see another match with those two  .

Dark Exia looks like someone took Exia and Grahams Black Flag and combined all the pieces together. Miss Sazabi is really nice looking. The legs look like Tallgeese parts. It looks like there is some sort of armor backpack instead of funnels.

He'sthe Man Child President who doesn't know dick about Gundam and he Pilots an overdesigned nightmare of a Gundam that's trying too hard to be threatening. It's 100% in character.

Oh, I know it makes perfect sense in the context of the show. And I also think that black and red Gundams can look fantastic (Blitz and Strike Noir come to mind). I hope everyone's reaction to it in the show is appropriately damning. For some reason I can imagine Sei and Mao dry-heaving at the mere sight of the thing. Eej kinda pointed this out in the other thread when he misidentified it, but Exia's predecessor the Astraea got upgraded to Type F and turned red/black too. Even got a mask like Dark Matter.
