1. That outfit. 2. Alan Rickman playing the Master in a similar outfit. 3. Swordfight.

Classy but bland. Might be owning myself there though, because apart from the waistcoat and the long collared shirt, the Doctor now dresses exactly like me.

I'm sure he has one for the Hamptons. re: 11 and River, I find myself perversely conflicted about the fact that her story seems to be done now that 11 is gone. Her reactions to 10 seemed to imply that the length of time she'd known the Doctor had included multiple regenerations, which befitted a character who was presented as A (if not The) Great Love of the Doctor's life. Instead, she winds up basically being 11's Rose.

The lack of tie or something is really bothering me. Either undo the top button or wear something around your neck. To me that always looks really awkward. It's a very punky-looking Pertwee though, for sure. If he was wearing a pair of brothel creepers, I wouldn't be surprised.

Capaldi's face reminds me of an older David Tennant. His costume is most def. Pertwee. I hope they're going for a venusian aikido kind of Doctor, with modern production values it's going to be AMAZING. And yes, we do need the Master to be the first time lord to escape Gallifrey. Solid design, really would like to see it without the jacket since that's apparently a cardigan under there. Anyone found in color tweaked versions of it yet, like reverse red/blue one?

Otherwise I think it looks like a really cool look. Then again Capaldi picked it out himself so he had like 50 years of ideas of what the Doctor should look like informing his decision.

A loving cardigan? That's it, Moffat has finally gone too far, there can be no forgiveness for him this time. While I dig the 'no frills, no scarf' attitude, that outfit reeks of your dad spending his Primark vouchers.

Not what I was expecting, but I do like the whole Pertwee-esque style Capaldi is going for. That said, the soles of his shoes seem...oddly large for that kind of shoe. Probably going to be hand-waved as being "better traction" or "better detection of things" or "kicking tempermental consoles and/or heads in".

Colin either wanted what eventually became Ecceleston's outift, or he wanted something more somber like what Hartnell wore, with the former being the more common tale. At Chicago TARDIS, someone asked Colin if he knew what he would have picked if he had input into the costume, and his response was, "yes, and then they gave it to Christopher Eccleston!" Chairman Capone posted:Didn't they do that for one of the early 2000s web animations (because they couldn't animate the actual costume due to all the colors)? It was for the webcast "Real Time" with Evelyn Smythe. Big Finish has since used the blue suit on several of their covers, and, of course, an action figure was produced with it.
