Why is Leopold surprised by the explosion of the grenade he himself claimed to have planted in Gary's oatmeal? Does he somehow not know what grenades do? Gorilla Salad posted:Okay, the comic was good, but that line made me lose it. If it's stupid, but it works, then it ain't stupid. Skippy's usually not that hard to decipher, but this one should've come with footnotes. Or at least a glossary. (November 29, 1926) Peanuts, in which Sally takes the first step on the road to being a grubby hippie. (February 20, 1967) Funky Winkerbean Cindy knows that she's a Gordian knot of regrets and compromises. Fortunately for Scumbag Guy Smiley, he's not trying to put his penis into Cindy's regrets and compromises. Unless one of those regrets is vaginal rejuvenation surgery, of course. Popeye Rip Haywire Pogo (February 20, 1956) Considering how chilled-out that baby looks, this might not be the first time it was hurled violently through the air. Out Our Way (June 18-19, 1924)

My Lovely Horse posted:Nothing against Slylock Fox as a strip, but if there's an image of a mad scientist on a customized bike having a race against a fox with a jetpack, dodging crocodiles, bats and snakes, I kind of expect a more exciting backstory. This is actually my favorite part of the Slylock strips. "After a daring heist and international getaway, Count Weirdly has discovered Slylock Fox has almost caught up to him! They begin to have a fistfight on top of the express train. If the train left at 11:15 am and the hostages are on another train on another track..." Focusing on silly, unexciting parts of their adventures is pretty funny.

Krazy Kat may as well shift over to daily posts now that I've got something else to post daily. Just a couple extra today that I held in reserve because the comic's original weekly schedule doesn't match with Comics Kingdom's uploading schedule, and we're back to theming: And hey, what luck! Darthemed posted:Family Tree is a 'regular' comic strip done by Signe Wilkinson, who started in editorial comics. This was one of the handful of comics that was picked up by Ted Rall when he was in charge of United Features' comic strip division. On top of my head, the strips Rall picked up were this, "Diesel Sweeties", "The Knight Life", "Secret Asian Man", "Minimum Security", plus editorial cartoonists Matt Bors and Mike Lester (Lester and Rall are friends). Of those strips, only "Knight Life" and Bors are around, with others being discontinued (Family Tree is in reruns); Lester moved to Washington Post Writers Group.
