The Hero We Need

That triple Gendo pic from a few pages back made me wonder: is it possible to rig glasses to do the scary shiny glasses thing on demand, IRL? Perhaps with some LEDs and glass specifically cut to refract the light forward? Translucent reflective foil maybe? I'm not that versed in optics, so I'm not sure if it's possible to get a glaringly bright white light to shine out of the front of a lens without also blinding you by shooting out the back as well.

Or you could close your eyes before activating? :v:

Maybe polarise the light, and use an appropriate lens/coating on the inside surface of the lens? (I am not an optician.)(Possibly spendy.)

Oh, I see it too now. Strange, there are perfectly good humanised versions of the characters they could have gone with, by the author of the webcomic, rather than just tack ears on.

I do not understand how someone who likes Lackadaisy enough to cosplay it would even think about being seen in the same room as a Homestuck fan.
Honestly though, I'm not sure how keen I am on cosplaying this series at all.

Thanks so much! :D I'm really happy with how it turned out. Yeah, they gave out trophies and prizes for the Judges' Choice at the closing ceremony and awarded the stuff for Best in Show, which went to a visual kei ballgown. They did everything they could to try and make it up to us but I'm not super sold on entering their contest next year at the moment, haha.

Is that supposed to be The Nation of Domination?

And really? Dressing up like wrestlers is a thing? I mean really, the one time where it would be really super important to be cut as all hell to pull off the look you are going for? I mean, maybe you could have some chunky Grizzly Addams looking guy go for "Hacksaw" Jim Dugan, or maybe pull off a Bam Bam Bigelow. But really, unless you are going for some jokey Pastamania Hulk Hogan I'd say it's just not worth it.

Nope, a relatively new group called the Shield. The actual group is the three chaps at the back, Cos-Shield bringing up the front.

The best part is that Ambrose, the dude in the middle, looks like he wants to eat the back of the dude who's cosplaying him.

OK, good, I guess. In my defense, I all I recall from the NoD was that it was a weird short lived group in WWE that had the likes of Farouk, and I want to say The Rock.
