Nathilus posted:That triple Gendo pic from a few pages back made me wonder: is it possible to rig glasses to do the scary shiny glasses thing on demand, IRL? Perhaps with some LEDs and glass specifically cut to refract the light forward? Translucent reflective foil maybe? I'm not that versed in optics, so I'm not sure if it's possible to get a glaringly bright white light to shine out of the front of a lens without also blinding you by shooting out the back as well. Or you could close your eyes before activating? Maybe polarise the light, and use an appropriate lens/coating on the inside surface of the lens? (I am not an optician.)(Possibly spendy.)

I do not understand how someone who likes Lackadaisy enough to cosplay it would even think about being seen in the same room as a Homestuck fan. Honestly though, I'm not sure how keen I am on cosplaying this series at all.

For the effort those guy put into their costumes, there's another pair of anthropomorphic characters I'd like to see them try.

I love those costumes where I sit for a minute and go "What are you supposed to be?" before the light turns on and I start giggling like an idiot. These are clever as hell.

Only one skull? Khorne would be disappointed Seriously though, that's pretty great, especially the use of wolf(?) pelts.

Total of 4 skulls on Khorne, not exactly throne material but it's a start.KitConstantine posted:This was amazing in person. Did the judging crap ever get worked out? Thanks so much! I'm really happy with how it turned out. Yeah, they gave out trophies and prizes for the Judges' Choice at the closing ceremony and awarded the stuff for Best in Show, which went to a visual kei ballgown. They did everything they could to try and make it up to us but I'm not super sold on entering their contest next year at the moment, haha.

I mean really, the one time where it would be really super important to be cut as all hell to pull off the look you are going for? I mean, maybe you could have some chunky Grizzly Addams looking guy go for "Hacksaw" Jim Dugan, or maybe pull off a Bam Bam Bigelow. But really, unless you are going for some jokey Pastamania Hulk Hogan I'd say it's just not worth it.

In my defense, I all I recall from the NoD was that it was a weird short lived group in WWE that had the likes of Farouk, and I want to say The Rock.
