This preseason keeps getting better and better. I would have never guessed that the Patriots would land Revis and Browner while also keeping both Edelman and Wilfork.

We'll have to wait to see the details, because as of right now it's vague as to what the actual cap hit is. I'm assuming that the 3 mil guaranteed is a signing bonus, and so his salary this year is 5 mil, hence a cap hit of 6 mil. If he doesn't come back next year, there's 2 mil in dead money. So effectively saving 5 mil in cap space this year. Or if 8 mil is the cap hit this year, we still save 3 mil. e: oh wait, I reread your post and realized that my explanation doesn't give you any new info.
