Yea, I always thought it'd be something like that. Also, her real death will coincide with Sara's "death" on the island. Has some symmetry to it.

I do wonder if they'll dare to go for the socialism thing. I mean, he is backing his mother in public who is basically the republican in this debate.

Blood's politics is obviously more in the right direction and he is explicitly the "bad guy".

Promo for next week's April 16th's episode, "The Man Under the Hood."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8p_ef2uazM

Experience the heart-stopping terror of... a synopsis!

quote:

DEATHSTROKE HITS OLIVER AT HOME — Oliver (Stephen Amell), Canary (Caity Lotz), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) return to the lair and find Slade (Manu Bennett) waiting for them. An epic battle breaks out and one member of Team Arrow is sent to the hospital. Thea (Willa Holland) hits her breaking point, but just as Oliver is about to reach her, Slade intervenes and Oliver is faced with a choice – his battle with Slade or his family. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) struggles with a new secret. Jesse Warn directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Geoff Johns and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Keto Shimizu (#219)

And another, for April 23rd's episode.

quote:

"Seeing Red" — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

ROY SPINS OUT OF CONTROL — The mirakuru sends Roy (Colton Haynes) into an uncontrollable rage and he unleashes on the city. After Roy's deadly fight with a police officer, Oliver (Stephen Amell) realizes the mirakuru has taken over Roy completely and must figure out a way to stop him. Things get more complicated after Sara (Caity Lotz) declares that Roy is too far gone and the only way to stop him is to kill him. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) believes she can breakthrough to Roy so she goes on camera at Moira's (Susanna Thompson) campaign rally to lure him to Verdant. Her ploy works but after Roy attacks Thea, Team Arrow unleashes on him. Doug Aarniokoski directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Beth Schwartz (#220).

Everything from io9.

Sorry, guy.
I love this show like fat kids love candy, but some things just kinda make me roll my eyes at times.

I guess in a world where Lance can't figure out Oliver is the Arrow when staring Arrow in the face, no one would suspect a loving Supervillain in a mask with only one eye hole might be a guy with only one eye... who has the same build, shape, is insanely wealthy, etc.

Also, I kinda love that Slade shows up, known to be a lying, kidnapping villain, at Laurel's door, tells her something with no convincing, and she goes all Waterworks McLaurel-Face.

Yes, well then it just changes my roll eyes to be redirected to "wow, it just took some guy saying it, despite the fact that your dad was convinced of it a year ago, and somehow you never made the connection."

Still, it's a comic book show. I'm just kinda chuckling about it.

Right. Part of my suspension of disbelief with the genre includes accepting implausible disguises, and the mental gymnastics that come with it to keep Gordon/Lois/Lance from figuring it out. See: Clark Kent's glasses. Or Oliver's green camo paint.
