Kids have no creativity, what you do is pick the car up and move it to a different parking spot. No damage and it freaks the owner out.

I always enjoyed hearing stories of micro-cars getting turned around in their spots, moved to the other side of the street, or (like in a movie I saw [Weird Science?]) moved indoors.

Neptr posted:Sorry but loving with people's cars isn't funny, especially when those people are random and innocent I agree with you, breaking someone's car is totally wrong. I do not approve of flipping cars over or rolling them, or even moving them indoors (kind of dickish thing to do). But micro-cars are funny, no matter what. loving with them is going to be funny, too. Still "bad", but funny nonetheless.

But loving with your friend's car is always funny, as long as you don't damage it. Once you cross that line you better be ready to crack open your checkbook.

Yeah, damage is definitely not okay, but messing with cars of people you know [and who are cool with it] can be funny. In high school, we used to pick up and move our buddy's bug all the time. Between trees, up on sidewalks, etc. Good times. I imagine most people who had friends with bugs did this, of course.

I strongly debated posting this in the Awesome AI poo poo thread instead because the name alone makes me laugh, but I spotted this today: The Chewbaru art car, folks.![]() ![]() ![]() The number of people who slowed way down and stared was ridiculous. Lots of comments from people too, though most were along the lines of "That looks kinda creepy."

"art" cars eh? I took this picture at Sams Pull a Part in Worcester MA if anyone wants to go look at it in person. It's right by the front desk. The license plate was "MEOWWW" according to the inspection sticker and registration inside. There's a SAAB under there somewhere. (Insert "SAAB owners are weirdos" joke here) Unsurprised that they got in an accident. ![]() Every time I look at the bumper stickers the rabbit hole gets deeper. ![]() ![]() Serious question: what the hell do you list as the color for a car like this on the registration? ![]() Fucknag posted:Having looked it up now, it seems you're right, it's a 6+4 setup all the way. ![]() Now if only they actually followed through on that and made a 9.6L V12 with two six-plug packs. A friend and I both drove aw11 mr2's in HS and since toyota was awesome at making keys in the 80's, I could unlock and start his car with my key. Unluckily for him, I tended to get out of class before him and would re-park his car if I was bored and walked by it while going to my car. At least I was nice enough to keep it in a couple block radius and would only park it legally.

My younger brother made a copy of one of his frat brothers' keys and would repark his car all the time, leave random fruit on the dashboard, or a stack of pamphlets for strip clubs on the passenger seat, stuff like that. He said that he never figured it out.

I'm generally OK with these art cars, but those ones where they just glue a bunch of crap on the body make me feel a little uncomfortable. There's this one in my neighborhood that's covered in taxidermied squirrels and I just know in my heart that the owner is a serial killer. It really creeps me out.

Enter Ashland Ohio's Cat Man I believe he's dead now (cancer) but at the time of this article he had three cats of his own and his live-in girlfriend had eight more. He lost his nose to cancer, so the urban legend started spreading that he had it cut off to look more like a cat. He claims 25 children from five different wives. And here is the car. It meows when you honk the horn. ![]()

In high school, one of the teachers drove whatever Toyota got rebadged as a Chevy Nova in the 80s (Corolla?). I think 14 inch had the Toyota version at one point - I want to say the teacher had an 84 or 85? That car always got moved into the most random places - a handful of guys would walk up to the front of it, pick up the front, and just walk it to wherever the gently caress they pleased (since FWD + auto + broken parking brake). Fast food place down the street, across the street, the dirt lot behind the school.. Another student actually had a brand new 1994 VW Beetle - he lived in Juarez (Mexico), and drove across the border every day - they were still building the original bug in Mexico at that point. That car wound up in even more random places, including on the steps leading to the entrance a couple of times. (the joys of tiny private schools in border towns, I guess)

I was poking around trying to get an idea of what cavity waxes are available in Canada, and stumbled across this thread: http://forums.nicoclub.com/my-s13-was-built-on-a-friday-restoration-t580792.html A 240SX that was built on 4-20. This should be high quality, and it is. Lazy seam sealing (in the middle of panels a mile from the weld), bad welds, missing spot welds, and loose floorpans. On page 2, they show that the weld quality is so poor that the A-pillar of the unibody was never e-dipped.
