DiscoMouse posted:I saw a weird movie on TV once that I was too young to see, probably only 10 or 11 (I'm 26). It looked like it was filmed in the 70s or 80s to me. It was super sexual. One scene had a woman in a short dressing gown sitting down on a glass coffee table and talking to other women, only for it to turn out that some guy was lying underneath licking the glass. In another scene a big burly white guy is loving a black woman who I think was a hooker or not into it at least. He says "you sure don't gently caress like no friend of the family" and she yells "oh baby, your balls are like a bear's". I think she and the other girls might have been plotting to kill him? This totally sounds like porn but there is no way they just stuck porn on the TV, there are no channels like that where I live.

The movie is godawful and the author of the book actually sued to get his name off the credits.CroatianAlzheimers posted:I'm looking for a seriously B-grade horror film I saw on Big Chuck and Little John (Cleveland's late night horror movie show) when I was a kid. It had something to do with the hex signs you see around rural Pennsylvania. I think the plot was that some city folk moved into an old Pennsylvania farm, and the wife hated the hex signs so they took them all down. Then, the creature living in the house got out and killed everyone in really gruesome ways. I remember a scene where you could see two glowing eyes in a window in a picture of the front of the house, and a car accident where a woman rear-ends a flatbed truck full of pipes, then is trapped in the car as it bursts into flames and burns her alive. All I remember for sure about this movie is there were some punks in a convertible, and they were passing around a Coca Cola can. They had a straw in it, and were putting the straw into their noses and snorting, while implying the contents of the can were cocaine and not Coca Cola. It may have been dubbed from another language and if so that language was probably Italian because I'm remembering zombie like things. It didn't look 70s though, it looked more 80s.

A French film about a teacher/lecturer/professor taking a sabbatical at the beginning of the story for one reason or another and then ends up in a relationship with a girl described as bovine I think in the plot synopsis but wasn't particularly fat. There's a scene where the girl takes a piss then dries herself with a towel. I'm going to say mid-late 90s and I think the teacher was married.

I'm trying to remember the name of a specific movie that popped into my head as I was browsing the Criterion site. I'm sure it was made in the 60s or 70s in France (maybe Belgium). The title ends with "from 5 to 7", but I can't remember the name of the "heroine". I think it was along the lines of "Chloe" or "Cleo" or something like that.

This is very general but I will try anyways. It might also have been a TV-show. I remember watching a movie where the male protagonist had a criminal brother and possible a criminal father. I think the criminal brother accused the protagonist of being the favourite son, but the protagonist felt the criminal brother had a much closer relationship. I remember specificaly that the criminal brother got to spend time driving a pick-up truck with the father right before the father died, and the protagonist resented himself for missing out on that. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There was a movie or TV series where a guy who was fairly new to an intelligence agency is on their boss's poo poo-list. The boss hammers them for fixing their own credit and erasing their debt using their new intelligence-agency capabilities, even though everyone else has done it, and is punished. If I remember correctly, the punishment was an undesirable assignment and an I've-got-my-eye-on-you warning.

This is probably going to be difficult, but i'll be over the moon if someone knows this one. Movie was a comedy, I get the feeling it was made sometime within the 80's or 90's big wayne's world-esque vibe. Two guys are the protagonists and they're not very bright ( This isn't dumb and dumber I swear), I feel like they're surfers or something happy go lucky occupation, and they were sent by their father figure somewhere they didn't want to go. I think there was an evil corporation involved. I distinctly remember there being a point where the two goofs realize there's something afoot when they see a model of the grand canyon(maybe? Or maybe the plot was for the corporation to blow up the grand canyon) get blowed up, and there was a water tower in the model with writing on it too. Oh and the opening credits sequence was really trippy, nearest similarity is one of those textures from doom of all the faces mashed together. Seems like a standard 'two dudes have an adventure' comedy akin to Bill+ted, or Wayne's world or dumb and dumber. I thought the title was Airheads or something, but reading that movie's synopsis doesn't seem right. I last saw this about ten years ago on a rented vhs tape, thank you for taking the time to decipher my half remember childhood memories.

Heres a pretty hard one, I posted it 2.5 years ago and its unsolved. This is a horror movie. I think the opening scene is in a parking garage where a woman is going to her car, drops her keys and gets killed in some fashion but it doesnt show who killed her. If its not the opening scene its in the movie somewhere. There is one scene where a grave is dug up/ someone put in a grave/ a body is missing from a grave. There might have been a dog in the grave/or a child. I think the ending takes place is some sort of research lab/hospital at night. I think the monster is some sort of shapeshifter/takes human form or something to that effect. By shapeshifter i didnt mean werewolf, just someone/something taking form of other people. (not the thing). In the ending, a guy is in the research facility and the glass revolving door leading to the outside is locked or something and the woman outside is trying to tell him that someone is inside there with him who is the monster. And I think someone gets thrown through a window in the end/possibly how the monster/dude dies. The movie seems to be from the 90s maybe early 2000's. I watched this is Russia so it might have been a foreign film. angry climber fucked around with this message at 20:17 on Apr 25, 2014 |
