So far all I've seen is loads of T&A, a hero blasting someone's arm off to show they mean SERIOUS BUSINESS and the hideously overused glowing heat vision rage-eyes on a Super-person trope. The high point of a nadir ain't that impressive.

So, basing a run on 1.5 pages...

It's the one time she has gotten angry and blasted someone in 12 issues (the only other use of her heat vision was to entertain her cat). Most of the time, she's trying to get people to stop fighting and this whole final arc is set off because she wants to get the Ultra Humanite psychiatric help instead of just beating him up and eventually finds a cure for the illness that made him put his brain in a monkey's body.

But, it's Power Girl, so she tends to go for punching first and even Conner can't help drawing T&A.

It was, from the start, pretty explicitly a cheesecake book. It should have been totally awful, but Connor managed to make it funny and fun, mainly because PG was almost always the smartest person in the room and never helpless. Yes, the sexual politics of comic books makes it problematic, but in a vacuum it was a harmless funnybook.
There should have been a companion series of sexy shirtless Nightwing or something. Although this might have run while Bruce was mostly dead.

Used to follow Palmiotti on twitter, and the dude loves him some naked women. If his wife is down with that, and enjoys drawing Power Girl, then more power to them both.

I wish those two would get a run on Supergirl. Their story in Wednesday Comics was cute as hell.

Remember Wednesday Comics?

If the book is generally much better than this outlier, I'd love to see some of that. It's hard not to feel a little jaded after seeing some of the hallmarks of one of DC's worst (i.e. current) eras appear in a supposedly great run on a character that already has a history of being mishandled.

Also I realize judging a whole book by a few pages is really dumb and I'm a dumb dumbo.

The Powergirl series pre-new 52 was fun and a good read. Amanda Connor's art was great and the writing could be serious or more often light hearted which was really nice given how much doom and gloom DC usually spews out.
