Anyone seen my ball joints?
Trying to dig up history on the greenwood vette my dad had around 1979-1984 ish.

My folks have paperwork on it somewhere.. if I recall it was a 1974[? may be off by a few years]-show custom station wagon with a supercharged engine [383?] of some sort. Total 70's all wrapped up in one package.

Previous Owner had it repainted Cosmic Purple with dragons on the sides, a demon and a naked sorceress on the hood and a loving wizard shooting lighting bolts on the wagon roof. Unfortunately the paint wasn't in great shape and wasn't done right, eventually my dad had it repainted back to red a few years later.

Then it was stolen. :sigh:

Trying to find the professional photos taken of it..

They were amazingly cheap, but they appear to have gone up by 50% since last year. Where you could see the occasional 30k car, now it seems like mid-forties is the buy-in, with decent ones being more like 50-60k.

When I was at the NEC show with you there was a Testarossa going for 40k which was surprising because I remember flicking through classic car mags when I was a kid and seeing them all for 100k +. I wonder if this is a lull point before kids who grew up with them on their wall are coming into the money now to buy them so they'll shoot up again.

My uncle has a Rosso Corsa 355 spyder, which I have been lucky enough to drive several times , and I can say the following:

It really does sound that amazing (has a tubi system on it, which obviously helps)
The gated 6 gearbox is also pretty awesome, although I like my T56 more somehow, unless you hit the perfect gear shift on the gate.
It's really not THAT fast
It doesn't really handle THAT great.
You get stared at EVERYWHERE at all times, which I thought was kinda weird
He likes to drive his Vanquish S much more
The 15k mile service really is basically a dollar a mile, plus extra expenses.

If it were a Harley engine this would be spot-on. As it is, being a guzzi it's just using half of the potential horsepower on ~~character~~

Ferraris have gone bubbalicious, especially in the UK, because people think they're better assets than putting the money in the bank.

Yes. You can generally see all the morons crash or get pulled over from there. A few minutes after jay showed up, someone laid it down.
