One of cryptics ship artists posted about the new Risa ship in reddits speculation thread. "I'm gonna guess it's a ship, with things and stuff, and it shoots and stuff too, also. I think it will fly and be a thing. Just a hunch though..." link He's got inside information so I think we can trust what he's saying here.

Introduce a setting where different bits of your ship glow when they're at full/decent power, so that a properly geared Plas Leech cruiser glows like a sun.

When fitting an escort with a torpedo, should you still use the kinetic cutting beam or just put another turret in there? I'm interested for both PvE and PvP applications.

The cannon cruiser relies on DEM to not be terrible so you need a ship that is eng heavy enough to fit DEM and tac heavy enough for CRF and APO. Works nicely on a scim. You won't get the raw damage of a DHC escort or a FaW cruiser but an alarming amount of your damage will bypass shields so it's a fun pvp build for ganking escorts and sci ships. It's hilarious watching them pop with 100% shields. You'll waqnt to ignore poo poo like recluses though, you're probably not going to be able to kill them. For PVE it's not optimal but it's good enough to carry pubbies through just about any non-NWS PVE.

Ooh, that's... really pretty drat good. Almost identical to the Galor, but with a Lt. Engineering rather than a Lt. Science... sadly this makes it a little less useful and harder to work with A2B, but can always throw the universal in engineering and do an Excelsior-type layout. Only three tac consoles, but that's hardly crippling, and it's fast and durable... yeah, yeah I rather like it. Not top tier, but probably equal or better to everything except the Galor or Monbosh. And of course you can make it pink, so it is the best ship in the game. :bigtran: Wonder what the console set bonus is...

I'm hoping it's a customization option.  The accidental leak on the PTR actually showed a few different things... the solar sails for example were always displayed in the Foundry, but in the screenshots in the article it looks like they're usually folded down.

I am not going to complain about a free cruiser that can actually turn. Also, 1,500 crew seems a lot higher than other cruisers, but I have no idea how much that actually matters.

Ya that's an A2B boat. I guess pretty standard w/ a spare Eng Team 1. With only 3 tac consoles might as well rainbow beams it and turn it into a party barge.
